Hey there. This thread regards a recruitment to a Danish research project out of Copenhagen University. The recruitment is solely targeted Danes (hence the weird language)

På Københavns Universitet er vi i øjeblikket igang med et forskningsprojekt, hvor vi ønsker at undersøge unges kriminelle- og risikoadfærd på nettet. Det kan fx være deling af andres eller egne intime billeder, køb og salg af stoffer, ulovlige downloads af musik- eller videomateriale, køb og salg af hælervarer, snyd med mobilepay eller involvering i hacker- og DDoS-angreb. Vi vil gerne undersøge, hvad der får unge til at involvere sig i disse aktiviteter, samt hvordan de gør det.
Hvis du derfor har erfaring med noget af dette (eller andet, som du selv mener, har været utrygt, ubehageligt eller farligt på nettet), kunne vi rigtig godt tænke os at lave et interview med dig. Interviewet er fuldstændig anonymt, og det kan finde sted via telefon, krypteret chat (wickr), krypteret mail eller ansigt-til-ansigt alt efter, hvad du foretrækker. Interviewet tager ca. en time og som tak for din hjælp får du et gavekort på 150 kr.

Why post this here? However I may contact the guy even though I don't understand how they can claim that it is anonymous when they suggest face to face or a phone conversation.

Dealing with depression can be tough. Tougher than most people know. But keep your head up high, there will always be hope.
What the... Like the user above me posted, how do we get in contact with this individual for the research project?

Anonymous maybe in the sense of no names. A face can do only so much for an individual, or even a small company. I think people are too wary for no reason.
Also OP maybe you should be more concise with your thread title and say it's for danish folk only ;)

You can contact the guy through wickr which is a mobile app kinda like KIK as far as I know.
I just feel weird about this because they are kinda countering their own saying by telling us it is anonymous but that it is possible to do through a phone conversation and face to face, how is that anonymous in any way unless you wear a mask or disguise your voice in some kinda way

I see where you're coming from, it's just that the the university doing this is one of the biggest if on the biggest in Denmark and it is also in the capital.
If someone were to meet them face to face and explain something they had done or know about (if it were something illegal) I don't see why they wouldn't go to the police as it's run by the government

Hey there.
We're looking for young Danish people with a history of hacking and DDoS-attacks - big or small experience, anything goes.
It is 100% anonymous because everything you say - that can be related to you as a person - will be left out or changed in the transcribed interview. If you don't want your face or voice recognized the interview can be conducted in writing on crypto-mail or crypto-apps.
Furthermore everything is stored on a crypto-server only accessed by the research team.

As stated in the Danish recruitment message " [email protected] eller via wickr ved at skrive til ”ukan”. " So either the crypto-mail or through crypto-app Wickr.

First of all, even though we're mostly funded by the government our research is independent.
Secondly, there is a strict code of research ethics that universties and professors follow to the point. You can almost compare it with the secrecy of doctors or psychiatrists. Even if an interviewed person admits to a homocide we're not legally obliged to pass on the information to the police. Furthermore, if we broke this confidentiality rumours would spread and people would never submit to interviews leaving the research in these 'grey areas' impossible. Something universties around the world wouldn't want to happen.
