Seeing as i have numerous hacking certs and got offered a Internship at IBM for security pretty sure i have. If you have multiple certs and an internship at IBM for security I have a feeling you would know that it takes more than a few hours to have necessary programming knowledge in 5 languages. 🤩

why is a bootstrap video in here?"
Good skill to have, not required but its a good skill. What kind of web app hacker could you be if you dont understand how to make a website. Its simply a good short thing to learn. Why discourage it. It expands their job range, they may find that they are more interested in web dev rather than hacking when they get to this stage, so stop being ignorant. If you're concerned about making a website why not include html, php, js, and sql guides instead? Why bother learning a framework if you don't even know CSS? What kind of a web app hacker are you going to be if you're not familiar with the languages that cause the vulnerabilities? What sort of a web app hacker are you going to be if you're not familiar with sanitizing data, proper session management, and how to use client-provided data when interacting with databases? Why the fuck would I want to learn a design framework before I learn those fundamentals among a ton of others? Stop being ignorant, retard.

Its one of the most easy Hackign exams, they dont go into depth with anything just give you an introduction to the hacking world. That's cute, but how are you going to take CEH if you don't know what oop stands for because you skimmed through syntax of some languages and watched a bootstrap video? How are you going to learn and pass an exam including "mobile security" if the only relevant language (which is becoming increasing irrelevant in mobile development) is Java? Why are you encouraging people who watched a few videos to spend money and fail CEH?
(Feb 13, 2018 10:37 AM)Pronouncer Wrote: "Why am I getting into "hacking basics" like using a disposable email, the "deep web", and metasploit after studying for CEH?"
Recaps and good stuff to go over. As stated this is for beginners entirely, just by covering this material wont make you know everything its a guide line. What do you mean recaps? None of those fucking topics were covered earlier.

What does it mean to know ethical hacking as a non-ethical hacker?

To be efficient at being blackhat you must fully understand white hat hacking, this will give you an advantage over those who are trying to stop you. End of arguement To be efficient at doing anything you have to know how to program. Developers are trying to stop you. What you and that other fucktard don't understand is that "whitehat" and "blackhat" aren't two different skillsets; an ethical and unethical hacker employ the same methods and knowledge. What do you mean you have to understand whitehat hacking to be a blackhat? By a whitehat hacker do you mean anyone who tries to defend a system?

@Disparity
I agree with some of your arguments, you should be atleast Intermediate in a few programming languages before you dwelve deeper into certifications and such. Networking is also a very important topic that you have to know inside out if you want to be successful at your job, and I believe that is the very first thing you need to learn.
CEH is also not the greatest starting point as a certification. Something along the lines of Network+, Security+ and then CEH would be better. Even though CEH is not a "Top-Notch" Certification, it is mostly for show, as it is "More Known" in companies, but only teaches you so much. I'd much rather take Network+, Security+, CISS and then head onto something like OSCP and OSWP, depending on the path you are willing to take.
However, you do not need to beat down a thread just because you disagree with some points, or throw insults at people.
I sometimes come around and poke a few threads before leaving for a few months again.

If this wasn't the same guy who has continuously stolen content, published it under his group's name, then when confronted about it lied, I wouldn't be quite so harsh, even if the information is fucking worthless. and by design will force people into a life of skiddom.

Nothing in this field is easy to learn on purpose. It requires hard work. You might as well do it the right way by getting the information directly from the people who have propped up the entire tech-education sector with their work.
This thread will surely be of some use to someone, somewhere, but I'd wager that most people will struggle to remember anything beyond the basics from these videos 6+ months after they've watched them.
There are no shortcuts. "Not having time" isn't an excuse. You have to make time. That's all there is to it.
Lots of information, I really like this guide.
Thank you very much for this great compilation of resources.
notepad++ isnt on here that helps also
I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. This OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.
If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.
Thanks,
Stanley
I am the official HF Help Bot. You might get an automated PM from me with some helpful information.

Glad you like it charva
Your networking list is stupid. You recommend people learn how VPN’s and VOIP before understanding DNS or DHCP?
Other than that it looks like a good list of resources, if anybody goes through everything you suggest they’ll have a broad understanding of most areas of IT. Good job :)

Thanks for the interest. So you dont want to be such a skid anymore, but you also don't have the greatest amount of time to specialize.
This thread wont contain Extreme depth of details like a lot of Video Resources to get you out of the "How to hack a facebook" part of your life. This will take you well above the average persons knowledge.

Basic Programming
There are a few videos i personally used, i suggest doing these first, this will give you a basic knowledge of some programming languages and will help you out once you finish the rest of the videos.
Python -- https://goo.gl/3ZYxEU
Java -- https://goo.gl/MydXnY
PHP -- https://goo.gl/wtxuQ2
MySQL -- https://goo.gl/W1jxUp
Javascript -- https://goo.gl/a57Uxo
This should take you a few hours, try not to over do things. Take it slowly so that you actually remember things, as studying different languages with different syntaxes can be hard.
Basic Web Design
This surprisingly is a very useful thing to learn. It will help you throughout your computer science life. So why not pick it up now.
