Books VS Video Tutorials to learn programming

Books or Video tutorials to learn programming?

Vote for the option that you prefer the most.
I will only recommend books on C programming.

1. Practical C Programming, 3rd Edition
A great book, not only for learning how to code in C, but also learning how to code correctly and in a clean manner. Just a great book and a favorite of mine.

2. C: From Theory to Practice
I was fortunate enough to have one of the authors of this book as a teacher for a semester. Great guy, amazing coder with loads of experience. The book itself is my favorite, not because it is the best at teaching you how to code in C, but because it has so much coding material and challenges; it's crazy. Over 500 exercises in the first edition. It's a must-have for the novice programmer.  ✌ Keep in mind, there are now three editions of this, so if you buy it, make sure it's the latest edition.

I prefer books.
Read over 20 so far.

Books are way better imo. You will learn much better because usually books have lots of exercises in it after every chapter, when you learn online sometimes you forget it very quickly because you just kind of copy paste what the tutorial guy is doing.
Books, but it seems like vid tuts are pushed by 90% of people studying/teaching though (unless they're actually in school).
I've always followed video tutorials till now just because they are to the point and it saves a lot of time ignoring the irrelevant details .

Except the details are usually very relevant.

I prefer books for that reason. Also, those are usually written by people with a proven track record that know what they're doing. Any kid can record some videos and put them online.
