There's never been a cap, nor a known set criteria.
We have so many active mentors now, but with overtime the activity decreases and Omni removes permission from Mentors. New ones(not necessarily) are added who are more active.

I think Omni would be even stricter when it comes to Mentors now, as Mentors have Mod CP permissions.

Mentors are an invite only group.

I like that Mentors can do more of the workload now. After what we had happen, it's nice to have Mentors back to where it should of been.

I was curious how big the team is now. I remember when Mentors were first launched and was almost for ex staff and some select individuals. I've been away from HF a lot and see the group has clearly got much bigger now which is a good thing.

You used to list some user groups but I realise we are in a state of transition right now and so some things are temporarily unavailable. Was wondering if perhaps listing Mentors was one of these things.

Nah Mentors have never been listed (except maybe in a userscript) on HF. The Wiki does keep track of them if you are just curious.

Best thing about Mentors is that they are just members who can passively moderate while they browse the forum normally.
