What if the US copyright office becomes corrupt?

Dude you ever thought how hard and confusing copyright govermetn is? And how tempting it wouldbe to be currupt?

So if two people come to copyright office with a billion $ idea the person in office decides who came up with it and owns it? sheesh
i bet their wage is enough to not make them cum for a billion dollar idea
people can't handle my honesty

Why do you think they are not corrupt?

People who work there must sign legal waivers and confidentiality agreements to prevent such crap.

Why risk Federal imprisonment???
I feel like you misunderstand how copyright work. You can legally challenge a copyright in court. Any obvious corruption would be found.
It would be fairly blatant for them to do that, since there would be a rather large paper trail of the corruption. Even if a few employees were to do this, a swift civil suit would get the rights turned over to original owner.

Oh yea true that.. Like bro that shit must be crazy all the challenges etc..

Also i dont see how they have experts in every category to assign the right ownership?

Example Intel probably has copyright on certain chip designs etc.. But if this was just invented.. Who would know enough about something so high tech at the time to give a proper copyright and give ownership unbiased?
Wait, they aren't already? Perhaps maybe they aren't corrupt exactly, but I'd bet money there's a level of favoritism and or special treatment with the organization. While I see it as a very beneficial and needed process, there's definitely a lot of flaws in it that frankly, I don't agree with.
