So are you advertising a web-site or are you opening a perpetual thread for HF users?

I'm not sure how a help desk works in this context...

Say I want your help desk to help me with a problem... How do I present that problem to your people?
Thank you for hosting a help desk.

I am wanting to learn Python and my goal is to be able to create scripts and small programs. The intention is that these scripts will be for incident response as well as some minor hacking tools. I will need them to run on both Windows and Linux. Should I learn Python version 2 or Python version 3 to accomplish this task?

I would start by Googling "is python 2 compatible with python 3".

You'll have to ask your question in this thread. Please explain your problem as good as possible and provide code snippets if needed.

Well, imho it's better to learn V3 since it's the newer one. However you could run into compatibility issues like I did a few weeks ago when using libraries. But most of the code you write will work on either versions.

If you code for V3, you shouldn't really run into any issues in terms of running it in V2, except for raw_input and input differences. You can fix this using a simple 1 liner though in order to make it fully compatible.

Thank you both. I have started to learn v3.

From my experience these kind of programs are often written in either C# (or Java) , C++ or plain C. I'd recommend C# for beginners since it's one of the easier languages.

Find a specific HTML element on the page when an account doesn't exist, then find if that element exists when the account does.

That way, you can 'hook' to the element, and then scan through hundreds of webpages, even using Python, and find which ones are free!
Next step is of course to automate taking them. Instead of automated registration, grab an account you already have, if the site allows you login without a Captcha, then it's very much easily possible to do this. Then attempt to automate the changing of your name and BOOM, you can copy random @s.
