Hey guys what’s up, I know this is probably the wrong place to ask but firstly I wanted to ask how many of you have a subwoofer system installed in your car and what system. Secondly, I am trying to install my boss 12” subwoofer system into my car along with my boss amp by tapping into the stock back subwoofer with an adapter (I believe an in line adapter) I have a Genesis btw. And my issue is that the subwoofer does work, but when the car turns off or even occasionally when it’s on the subwoofer will just start blasting on it’s owk with nothing playing at a loud consistent note. I thought it was the rattle from my trunk closing but I don’t believe it’s that anymore. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening? I’ve been working on this shit trying to figure it out for 5 hours now and I’m just fed up. If anyone knows and can help me diagnose the issue to fix it, I’ll happily tip them for their time :) maybe 10$?

I wouldn't install anything from boss but that's me personally. As for your issue, don't know had mine installed from a shop. Did you at least properly ground it?

Instead of paying someone for $10 for advice, why don't you find someone IRL and pay them $10 to install it?

Because nobody IRL does this for 10$ not worth their time lol and nobody wants to check the entire setup for the issue. If I was able to find such a person I’d go to him ASAP lol

I mean I personally think I did. I grounded it to the right side of the trunk, there’s an opening panel there and I sanded it down and installed. But my amp also won’t go off when the car is off. This is such a weird issue.
