For all the kids that post about hacking their school/teacher

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/se...h-refunds/

You're going to eventually get caught and there will be real consequences. Also as the article states, this school district handled reporting the breach a million times better than most companies.

This really needs a sticky in the Beginner Hacking section right along with the NCA post...

I cant repeat myself enough, fucking with school systems is simply not worth the punishment, they are federally funded machines, making them government property and thus a felony to tamper with in any method. NOT WORTH IT.

It would definitely be a good topic for a sticky though idk if the kind of new members it would help would actually take the time to read it

People have to learn their own lessons, if they do not wish to listen to those who are experienced. (My self included, yea I hacked my school networks too)
they will learn the hard way, just as that dude said in the video. Its gonna be a hard road for them now that they have been identified and are now dealing with law enforcement.

Hacking school systems is not like it was back in my day. We used Novell netware and shit, the systems now log and record everything.
Dont fuck around with school systems.
We do need this stickied in the beginning hacking section no joke, most of them post it in the Virus/Malware sub forum. It seems that it's during midterms and finals these threads pop up they don't know what they are doing and even if they did know, they tend to think it's "nothing", schools take it seriously. It's a bit hard sometimes to dissuade people when another person who knows just enough to give some crap advice pretending that it's easy and no big deal chimes in. I don't want to see anyone here or elsewhere screw up their life, if someone cheats say on a test or whatever they will have to at the very least write the correct answers, they will read the material somewhat, I get that. In the end they are only cheating themselves, not great but you won't have criminal charges and probably be looking for a new school or ending up in a juvenile or adult facility.

I thought about making a fake tutorial title it something like "How to hack school" and just put in as many links to people getting caught for it and what happened with them.
I'd just delete the database which contains the grades... at least make it look like an system error or smthing..

That would probably be pretty effective honestly

Well seeing that it's nearly time for people to be out of school right now it it should slow down a bit, but I will compile some articles stuff like that, but also maybe we may get a sticky who knows.
This is not worth it at all. But these kids won´t stop to do this either if they think is funny or that they need it.

This was a crazy read.
The kids are going to find out that the punishment wasn't worth the crime.

Kids if they learn this stuff they should keep it ethical... There's a bright future here but not if they take risks like that.
