Who would like to see some linux/kali linux tutorials (topics inside)

Im curious to know, if enough people want this I will create a tutorial for you all covering basic and advance commands of linux terminal...

Or if anyone has suggestions for any Kali Linux tutorials that would be beneficial for you all please post and I'll consider writing them.
make an example video. something slightly advanced, ie. maybe drive partitioning
explain what partitioning is, why it needs to be done, give some examples in how filesystems differ, why you should have a loopback, why ntfs is garbage, etc.
or choose another topic, not as braindead like 'how to use ls and cd to navigate files with terminal' and just talking about the -al options in ls at your most in-depth parts.

there's a lot of horrible quality guides out there. like, lots. where you can't understand people because of their accents, or they rush through everything with no explanation whatsoever, telling you to 'just type in these commands.' if you can actually teach something properly, go ahead. if you don't think you can do all this, no.

so, if you think you've got it, then go for it, post an example video. it shouldn't take you too long to make. focus on the content, not the visuals or fancy editing.

I appreciate your response but my tutorials would be typed threads, maybe eventually I'll release step by step videos, but text versions with step by step images and explanations of commands for starters. The tutorials i would host would not be just type this to do this. I provide indepth explanation of usages especially with advance usages what they do, breaking down the code to explain step by step.

Do you think people would be interested in learning how to partition HDDs through Kali Linux terminal? I mean Kali Linux also has the GParted application that i could give a GUI tutorial for too as well as the command line version.

oh, for some reason i thought you meant a video but now i dont see any mention of it anywhere lmfao
guess im retarded

again, still stands: write a tutorial, if it's good, it's good, if it's bad, it's bad. you'll get criticism and you'll learn what to do better, what to edit, fact-checks, etc.
but again, we see all the time shitty little 'tutorials' here that don't actually explain anything. there's gotta be like 50 guides on here for sentryMBA and they all just say 'find config, find combo, find proxy, use all and get account' instead of what actually happens behind the scenes, like how sentry splits up all the data and uses it. if you could even do that much, you're home free.

If you can't find a tutorial already for it, then sure go ahead. No point rewriting things done thousands of times already.

A new 2018 compilation thread would be fine sure, I was starting on one but got a bit busy - feel free to take it over and work off it.

Something which actually would be good about partitioning is how to expand a VM hard drive, for both virtualbox and VMware.

Really? Sorry but I would have thought that is too basic no?

Basic for some but I've noticed that when have people do multiple steps it becomes "hard" and the idea of booting off of a live media (eg. gparted) looks daunting. Remember that users here are an amalgamation of skills as well as differing levels of independence to go out and research their own. For example port forwarding is akin to brain surgery for some from the number of questions, although there are multiple tutorials and references here on the forum as well as on the internet. Such a tutorial would could perhaps also cover partitioning in general, perhaps down the road how to create a virtual pentesting lab, so users can have a safe environment. I tend to expand from one tutorial to creating a series of tutorials building upon the previous tutorial.

Your so right... I need to stop thinking people who are signed up to a hack forum are all far advanced than anyone else...

This should make an interesting series of tuts! +1 for you as soon as i can rep :D

A lot of people seem to want to know how to "hack" Facebook, so try that. That is a super good idea.

Mmm... Tutorials for Facebook hacking have nothing to do with tutorials for linux/kali linux usages.
But i get your point everyone seems to want that...

It was a jab at the kids, man; all the ones that are new around here and all. I know it's got nothing to do with it. 👍
The more the merrier man! Go ahead with it and keep me posted :)
