Well Earlier when we were scammed , we used to enter in disputes db, make a thread and then leave the link of scam reports in reputation of the user
How it has to be dealt now for the previous deals prior to the system.

I mean Deal may no longer be offered on HF so a contract could not be made , How can we mark a link to that scam report to that person.
Reputation is no longer to be used for deals but what about the previous deals and previous scam reports?

I Belive scammers should not be given a free hand in implementation of the system .
I am Sure Omni and Xerotic would have already been working on same , but i wanted to know what can i do right now .


Ps- I know its easy to ask Omni and Xerotic in Pm but i am using thread approach so other members too can view the answers to similar queries.

You can still use the Legacy system to search through the old disputes. They will not be ported over to the new system though as they wouldn't have a contract associated with them.

Well search is a feature for sure
But what i mean is there is no mark left on profile of the user which could flag them off.
Its like someone scammed me , i added the rep and i could see his sales going down but after Rep Reset i can see him dealing openly ..

You can still see scam reports if you use trust scan.

I always search UID before dealing with the user, that's the only advice I can give you.

I can't imagine any of the admins want to spend a lot of time trying to find away to integrate old deal disputes into the new system when the issue could be made moot if people spent 10 seconds searching a UID before dealing

Of course there is. It will be a red b rating/dispute. The buyer wont leave a positive rating if he has been scammed/opened a dispute.

Deals are between you and members. If you feel "scammed" there is nothing that Hack Forums will do to "force" a user to attempt to resolve a dispute. A dispute does not mean someone was scammed. A dispute can be invalid. It can be valid. Hack Forums will not verify it is valid or not.

Deal Disputes are between members and to alert other members about potential scammers. If someone doesn't want to research a user before dealing with them then that is their prerogative. Each individual member has tools provided to make the best possible market decision. If they choose not to use those tools then they are screwing themselves.

What your issue is that you think Hack Forums should be responsible and/or get involved. You think that it is okay to harass a member. It is not. I have received plenty of complaints from you via PM about members sales trashing your threads, method leaking, rep abuse, etc, so I KNOW that you are aware of policy. You admitting to breaking the rules yourself is hypocritical and honestly disgraceful as a member. A move like that makes it seems as if you believe that you feel you are warranted special attention. That is not the case. Every member must follow the rules and policies as described in the Help Documents and sectional rules.

Old disputes are in the legacy Deal Dispute Database and in the Deal Dispute forum. New disputes will be logged in the Contract system and B-Rating.

Use the tools on HF to protect yourself and to protect each other. That is what they are there for. They are not there for Hack Forums Staff to intervene.

I Agree About your Point but incase there the scammer himself agrees to scam in the scam report itself by tounge twist, then atleast a action could be taken.

Definitely i understand the rules very well , and you have been helpful all the times i have contacted you . I do understand breaking the policy and getting 1 week ban due to same but the only thing was when a scammer openly admits to the scam in scam report and then leave responding to the report after being caught and dealing openly , I do understand risk of invalid deal disputes but disputes where scammer himself agrees on the scam report and try to give an escuse .

My all intention here is just an suggestion because we improve over time , Just like the B-Rating , it was not 1 step thing you have improvised on it according to the feedback and made it better and stronger
