I've noticed a few of these now in the marketplace, the OP will offer BTC or another payment method and in return will ask for you to open a contract or have an automated one displayed.
I feel like this violates a policy.

As far as I know he was asking for rep, not B-rating, though I still think that should break the rules.
Edit: just noticed he mentioned contracts now. Seems like it's not allowed to me.
Asking for popularity is allowed. Boosting b-rating isn't.

When I seen it I initially thought he was asking for rep aswell so I participated, I re-read it and noticed he wanted a contract started.
Money/bytes for popularity seems fine as popularity shouldn't reflect a persons trustworthiness, unlike B-rating which could mislead members who do not take precautions.
Farming B-Rating this way should not be allowed whatsoever, it's so cheap.

Exactly my thoughts, way too easy for somebody with malicious intentions to just give a few dollars away and pull off a scam.

Posted on the same thread saying its Contract abuse, considering he is buying the B ratings along the way if he uses contracts for this kind of deals.

I agree. I've seen contract systems cheated with shit like this on other forums and I hate for it to happen here.
Site staff and admin are aware of the issue.
Here is the last thread someone made about someone abusing the contract system and the person ended up being banned from using contracts.

Asking for b rep should result in severe punishment, We lost a lot of good members implementing this system and it's in everyone's best interest if it's heavily enforced.

What does this have to do with the search function?
OP is bringing awareness of this ongoing issue and a DIFFERENT MEMBER trying to do what that member was doing.
Good try at modding I guess 😧

Of course, there are multiple people abusing contracts. That doesn't mean a new thread needs to be made every time someone does when the site staff are already aware of the issue. A simple report/PM to a mentor/staff is enough.
You should always try to see if there are similar threads before posting to find the answer without asking. Pretty straightforward if you ask me.

The same could be said about your question regarding your PayPal dispute, I am 100% sure members have sought out information prior to your thread creation.
I guess people slip up and make mistakes sometimes right? 🤝

Oh wow, that guy should be banned imo before they scam someone.
Asking for popularity is allowed and purchasing it is allowed as well, assuming it's done in the correct section. Boosting B-rating is not allowed.
If you see anyone doing this, report them to staff and we'll take care of it.
