Out of curiosity, I decided to buy a DNA test to see exactly what I have in me. Has anyone else done this and what kind of results did you get? It's supposed to tell me the percentages of what areas of the world I have in me. It also will tell me if there are any matches like if someone else related to me did the test it would say "you have a insert percentage chance of being related to this person".
There's a lot of people that are worried about these tests and sending in your saliva but I don't see what they would do with it so I'm not worried about it. If they clone me I say 👍
my sister spent the $100 on this test so i know what i am from that and dont plan on ever doing one myself.
and yeah, the 23andme one keeps track of all the dna they tested and will literally tell you if you are related to someone, as long as you and them allowed your results to be public.
i know i troll you alot but true story, my step uncle did the test and found out he has a 36 year old half black grown ass man as a long lost son who lived/grew up in Texas, around the area where my step uncle was stationed when he served in the marines lmao.
23andme and ancestry both share your DNA with Law Enforcement.

Did you actually just give me a serious response? We have come a long way.
In all seriousness, I would honestly be so excited if I found out I have a long lost brother/sister out there. It's definitely possible haha.

How do you know this?
I don't plan on becoming some international criminal or nothing so I don't really care. I doubt they can legally share your DNA without your permission though, that would be a big lawsuit.

I watch a lot of hacker con videos where it was brought up.
Apart of you submitting your DNA you realase your control of it, literally spit into their lab. They then can respond to LE requests for 'name, =dna'

"Ancestry will release basic subscriber information as defined in 18 USC § 2703©(2) about Ancestry users to law enforcement only in response to a valid trial, grand jury or administrative subpoena.
Ancestry will release additional account information or transactional information pertaining to an account (such as search terms, but not including the contents of communications) only in response to a court order issued pursuant to 18 USC § 2703(d).
Contents of communications and any data relating to the DNA of an Ancestry user will be released only pursuant to a valid search warrant from a government agency with proper jurisdiction.
If we receive a valid request under U.S. law to preserve records that constitute potentially relevant evidence in legal proceedings, we will preserve, but not disclose, a temporary snapshot of the relevant account records for 90 days pending service of valid legal process as described above."
It's not like everyones DNA is put into a law enforcement database but they will release results if it's a valid request for a court case.
FBI Federal DNA Database
'Oral sample'
'Mam its for national secrity'
or
'NSAd'

I would never do that.

that makes more sense, a subpeona for a SPECIFIC persons dna. but i dont think LE can just run anyones dna on the 23andme/ancestry dna databases... unless its in the TOS for the companies idk

If the FBI has a valid reason to ask for a sample of my DNA then I really fucked up and there's no place I can hide.
I'm not worried about it.

if you cant hide from the FBI and be put on the top 10 most wanted list.... you're a sad excuse of a criminal.
When i was younger I thought I was adopted and I would ask my parents all the time about it but when i got older I was tempted to get a dna test done but then my parents gave up and shown me my birth documents and I was like oh okay then and never spoke about that silly shit again, FYI I was like 14

Maybe I don't want to be a criminal and want to catch them 🤭
