So this user agreed to exchanging his $500 cashapp for my $500 bitcoin. He has over 130 rep, so i deemed him trusted and we have completed many other deals using hf and skype.(not as big as this one though) After sending him the $500 bitcoin to his address. He has been missing for over 4 days and he has never replied to me. If he does refund me the $500 bitcoin, or astleast send me the $500 cashapp, i will close this dispute, but he has never even contacted me since he had scammed me.

Popularity doesn't count as reputation, he has other open disputes if you search the forum

Since the admin's rolled back the reputation and changed the system up, only Marketplace reputation (B-Rating) is an indication of a user being trustworthy or not.

I feel bad for you OP...

Some tips:
- Always search the user id code in the search bar, if there's previous scam reports they will pop up
- IGNORE Reputation
- CHECK Market reputation (B-Rating)
- Whilst exchanging always send information like BTC addy's through PM (if not scammer might claim that you got scammed by an imposter)

Well for one Precision accepted the contract? Even if he sent the addy on skype the contract was accepted on the same day as the skype message by the user in question

Okay so I can start a contract with you and then message myself on Skype a btc addy and send myself $500 then post a DD saying I paid you because you accepted the contract and the Skype chat was the same day??

That’s not how it works. Obv, if he never pmed a different btc addy then he has no credibility that the btc addy on Skype isn’t his btc addy but yeah if he sent a different addy on hf than that one on Skype then Omni will see that and be in a tough dilemma

Damn OP this really sucks but like many people have said, you should never look at "reputation/popularity" when it comes to marketplace things.

1. he has multiple runescape scams that go back even to last year
2. he scammed some other guy for $390

He's banned all over the internet on many different forums for scams from 1-2 years ago, not surprised in the slightest.
