Absolutely you can. I'd say the most impressed I've been is when a russian botnet had it's C2 pulling instructions from Instagram from an account posting photos with commands hidden via steganography. You can perpetuate a link via CSRF, post a QR code to a spam page or auto-download via fopen() in php. Social media can do a lot, especially in the world of recon or social engineering. As far as actual exploitation, there's really endless ways to go about it.

Yes you can, in many different ways. Leaked databases, SE, RATs etc.. It's absolutely possible.
