So to start this off, I'm going to try to keep this not a shoutout fest like a lot of feedbacks are, talk about my opinion on various changes on Hack Forums and new features. I'm also going to review the groups I care about.
Changes:
So let me start this off with, I'm a fan of pretty much everything that's been implemented since I left about a year ago. I'll go through and talk about various things and give my thoughts.
The Game:
The game is a great addition in my opinion. It makes HF a lot more interesting. Personally, I never got into the game because I don't understand it, but I'm going to give credit where credit is due. Xerotic and Omni put a lot of time into this game and it shows, when I interviewed Xerotic on the Podcast about the game I enjoyed everything he said. One of the big talking points for the News Podcast has been the game, every member has told me it has gave them a reason to come to Hack Forums besides to actually post which is the intention I'm assuming. The implementation of the game was a great feature that I think is appreciated and will only be more appreciated as time goes on. Xerotic is working his ass off to provide a quality product to Hack Forums and it shows. One thing I would like to see is maybe a video discussing how to get started in the game, what's most profitable etc. It would be nice to see a member take their time and produce this.
Contracts:
Contracts are also a good one. It's something that I believe has made the marketplace more accessible and more friendly to a new member logging in to buy a product. I've never been active in the marketplace but I do view it and I think there's a lot more feeling of safety when using it. Knowing that there's a log on the site that isn't a PM that proves your purchase has really kept deal disputes and other things less cluttered and kept away from being a "he said she said" type of thing. Obviously there's always going to be the assholes who will scam and cheat to get money, but this is for sure a step in the right direction get them out.
Bytes:
Bytes are good in a sense. They help things like crews and the award market going. The most obvious glare on the whole bytes system is the amount of members who are obviously just posting for the sake of bytes. Sure, it gets activity but sometimes it's just the type of activity that isn't really inputting to the discussion of the thread. There have been multiple members within Infamous, Samaritans and around the forum that I've seen who I can tell haven't even read the actual post on the thread and just responded to get bytes. I understand that's a part of why the byte rate has been decreased when posting, but it's still an outlying problem that I don't really see a fix for. One thing I would like to suggest is removing byte gains in private group Sub-Forums. I feel like members who are in groups with lounges will constantly just randomly post in there to obtain bytes. I feel like that's unfair to the member who is interested in let's say the programming sections instead of the group section. If you remove bytes from group sub-forums it'll disallow lounge spamming for them and help inflation.
Groups:
I'm going to go into only the groups I am in that I'm active in.
Infamous:
I've said this multiple times over the years, but Infamous is truly the best group on Hack Forums. One thing Infamous does right that other groups do not is that it's larger then just Hack Forums. Infamous has taught me a lot over the years, what iNviZ has done and the group him and TheHackersLove have created over the years is amazing. The overall atmosphere in the group is fantastic and I'm looking forward to leading it and carrying on the legacy of Infamous.
Samaritans:
At it's core, Samaritans is a good group. There's a lot of quality members within this group that serve a purpose on the forum. They have a lot of smart and skilled members. The only underlying problem with the group is it's disorganization. There's a lot going on within the group and it gets kinda all thrown together. I'm trying my best as a sector leader to keep everything active and organized but it's hard. Overall though it's a great group and has a lot of potential.
News Team:
The News team has done a lot for me in this short time I've been in it again. I'm currently using what I write and record in the News Team to put towards my College portfolio to get into a larger College with a journalism program. So I apperciate the chance that Omni and Hydra have gave me to build myself up through Hack Forums and benefit my life in the future.
I always take pride in with what I write. I remember as a new member I would always enjoy reading the News because it helped me understand the community and get more involved so I want to give that back to the new generations of HF members. I want them to feel like they can understand the community and get involved also. I also find a lot of fun in recording the Podcast and be able to discuss changes in a relaxed environment with some of HF's most esteemed and respected members. Obviously there's the problem with activity, but Hydra has returned recently and hopefully he can keep the momentum he has now and continue to regain the New's prestige and quality.
Closing:
Overall, I know this wasn't a lot of feedback but I just wanted to say that I'm enjoying the changes and the current Hack Forums. Even though you think I'm a 1/2 troll Omni I respect and appreciate the time you and Xerotic have put in to the forum recently. I understand that it's hard to please such a large forum and it's stressful so I just wanted to let you know as an old member I appreciate what you guys have done. I'm looking forward to the future.

Only use HF to deal.
