Ub3r Upgrade Available

The HF Ub3r upgrade is officially back. You can head over to HF's upgrade page to find it: https://hackforums.net/upgrade.php

Your account must meet certain criteria before you can upgrade to Ub3r. These include:
  • L33t Membership - An account must be L33t to be upgraded to Ub3r
  • 100 Posts
  • 50 Popularity Points
  • 60 days since you joined HF

Once you have met all of the requirements for Ub3r then you can purchase your 1 year upgrade via CoinPayments. You can choose between a variety of crypto currency options. HF is not accepting Stripe or other payment methods at this time for Ub3r upgrade. It may take a few minutes for CoinPayments to process your payment. Please allow some time to pass before contacting Staff.

If you are already an Ub3r member then you can upgrade others to the group. The member you are upgrading must meet the Ub3r upgrade requirements and then you can easily upgrade them from the same page where you would upgrade your own account: https://hackforums.net/upgrade.php

When you upgrade to Ub3r you will be in the usergroup for 1 year. At the end of that year period either 1 of 2 things will happen:
  1. If you were a Permanent L33t member: you will go back to L33t status.
  2. If you were a 6-month Subscription L33t member: you will go back to a non-upgraded status.

The Ub3r group does grant the Sapphire of Ub3r award which will remain on your account even after your 1 year Ub3r subscription expires.

The cost of the 1-year subscription is $25.

Enjoy.

EDIT: If you were Ub3r group before the 1-year subscription existed then you will retain your permanent Ub3r membership. You will not be reverted to a 1-year subscription.

Glad to see confirmation on the permanent membership for pre-existing Ub3rs. Was just talking about that in the other thread.

Think the subscription-based upgrades are the right way to go, but only time will tell how successful they are.
There we go. Here come some more ub3r's! welcome
That's great news for previous Ub3rs, a question I had before as well when this change was made.
My suggestion is to make two options for Ub3r just like L33t, one permanent and one 1-year only
do people who currently have ub3r have permanent ub3r?

These two sentences are so hypocritical together. You're saying that you're glad your Ub3r is permanent, and simultaneously think subscription-based upgrades are the right way to go (considering your own Ub3r is permanent).

Yes.
Damn it’s going to be kinda cool to see some regular members have the blue diamond in 1-2 years lol

More meant to phrase it as being glad to see confirmation on the topic of pre-existing Ub3r membership, but oh well.

I think it is only fair that those who previously purchased a permanent upgrade should keep it. Subscription-based moving forward makes sense though.
Would pay the yearly membership if I had to, but can't complain about the fact that I don't.

You mean r3kt? I got Ub3r at 100 rep lol.
Only use HF to deal.
Awesome, that’s cool you get to keep the award after the one year is up as well.

What's the point tbh

Two upgrade options, one 1-year and one permanent would only benefit hf

Many people may not pay again after a year
