I still don't think it's the browser.
I can use Firefox and check once?

If the safe mode failed, try using other browser. Also, make sure you have cleared your web cache, cookies etc.
In case you have access to another PC, try logging in to HF via that PC. Furthermore, you may try logging in using your smartphone.
Let us know the outcome.
