Let's assume they are looking at statistics for the most common websites.

As far as I am concerned, i've been harassed 10x more than the average female internet user - that comes down the the activity you partake in, which more posts/activity anywhere online is male.

As far as Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter - well that's not the internet.

This is the same with skin color, religion or anything else.

Yeah but a lot of girls dump screenshots of DM's that make guys look like freaks, you see it a lot especially with famous people e.g mia khalifa.

I agree tho, it depends on what you post online, the thing about computers is it doesn't matter who you are behind them, like think of wheels (the guy that made 8ch). Your level of harassment, both sexual and non sexual is directly correlated with your activity.

If you and a female were both active here on HF the same degree, same areas, etc (and it was known that you were male and the other female) then yes, I'd say they'd get harassed more than you.
It's very bias and depends heavily on the circumstances though. HF is very male-dominated so it does make a bit more sense compared to other areas of the internet.

Social media should not count. It is the same as normal everyday life. Females do get harassed more in person. It is a given. But elsewhere ehhh I beg to differ.

I think statistically speaking it is impossible for women to not be SEXUALLY harassed online more than men. Simple reason being females crave attention, they turn to social media for that attention, then they realize the only way to get a lot of attention is by putting themselves out there in revealing clothing. Then obviously they will receive a couple or maybe even hundreds of "sexual harassment" comments in some circumstances and then victim hood themselves thinking that others are the issue when in reality it is social media making everyone crave attention so badly. So they know this and have monopolized the internet and are now censoring more than ever. Welcome to 2019.

I think humanity was at an all-time high of cyber bullying and harassment back in the 2012 xbox live days. You could play for 1 hour and have more people harassing you in comparison to a year on all those platforms listed 😈

We don't know what they based the stats off, but I am sure the majority of harassment online is done through video games.
