I tend to get a homesick feeling every time I have to go to work...

I work in the hospital and it gets hectic at times but is this a sign for me to find a new job or pursue a new career..?
yes, probably should seek a new job.

It's gonna take a long ass time.
I think pretty much everyone in the world misses being home when they're at work because, well, that's the way it works. Home is supposed to be your own domain, where you can relax, but work is for work. That's life.
But if your job is making you miserable then you should consider another career path. It's up to you. I don't mind my job because I like all my colleagues and they pay me fairly for the work I do, but I always long for being home, especially my new one.

I think you're feeling pretty normal.

I also think having a job you enjoy going to would make it a lot easier to go in and stay.
It is called laziness, it is very common among young adults.
you are alive for only a certain period of time, do not waste it doing something you do not enjoy!

Find a head hunter or recruiter. If you have a degree and a decent resume it’ll be easy

How does one not enjoying their job equate to laziness?

You should be proud of your job,few people have that privilege. My mother works at the hospital i know it's hard and every day you look at the tragedies that are happening around. But I remember when my mother said there is no better feeling in the world than when you save someone's life.

Asking if it is a sign to quit your job as it is too hectic at times suggests laziness. We all would enjoy the quiet life but sometimes you have to bite the bullet. It gets busy, it's a hospital.

It's not called laziness. I've had numerous jobs before and never felt this way.
Sounds like time for a break, this clearly isn't working out.
