Are runescape gold shops even worth opening up anymore? With the rate of scams so easily hidden compared to the rate of profit, does it even make sense? How would one go about not getting scammed and/or banned? It's been a long time since I've had a gold shop opened. Not really sure what the market is like anymore.

I mean I've got gold I could sell and what not, but I'm interesting in making money off of it. For example, sell it to purchase more and then rinse and repeat. I know earnings would be extremely low in terms of profit, but is it even feasible on this forum anymore?

Only way you're going to do that is by opening a website more than likely. Not forum selling.

See, I wouldn't mind to do that since its pretty easy to make a website. The only issue is actually making a website that won't be harassed. I'd want the website to be lowkey af to not attract attention. Simple stuff with a few ads on there. Only issue is that I don't know how to code for websites xD.

Or, go with bluehost, they got an inbuild-website builder which is very easy to use!

This results to my original problem..I'm broke xD.. I could put one together that is simple but could easily be messed with. I don't see it being worth dumping money into for a small return.

OSRS maybe RS3 not so much.

I say maybe because the me the game in general is dying a slow death, I could be wrong but I'd be surprised to see it still around in the next decade; without it being majorly re-worked in some way.

I've always said a RS game built on like the same type of engine WoW is built on would have been amazing.

OSRS being better to sell gold on, which I said MAYBE to anyway?
RS being dead in the next decade?
RS being a good idea on a WoW like engine?

Either way, people are entitled to their opinion, maybe I will be wrong who knows? Only time will tell.

From the stats though RS3 especially has just been on a constant decline so it doesn't make me feel hopeful.

I feel like OSRS would be where I would operate through. I haven't played rs3 in years. I'm not going to make a career out of this, just a side hustle. Also Ads on a website could bring in some revenue as well.

It's ultimately up to you dude, with bonds and stuff now it makes the hussle harder. For me the time investment and stuff wouldn't be worth the profits. I'd need huge margins to make it worth my while.

If you do it like currency trading buying cheap selling higher and not actually having to put in a lot of time and effort yourself, then yea go for it.

From reading your thread I can tell you it's not a good idea at all. You definitely have zero knowledge on goldselling and will be competing against people with tons of more contacts and capital then you.

Let me just list some things

a) Nobody is going to go first to you
b) The market is extremely saturated
c) You will probably get zero customers since you can't get gold at a low rate
d) I doubt you know about the fraud rate in the goldflipping market

People will still buy gold. But your better off selling it off cheaply to an Asian site. There are just too many scams and RS gold seems too have a higher scam rate. Hence why I closed my shop without sale.
