Don't know if this is the right section so i apologise in advance if so.
Long story short i am no longer working (would not like to discuss the reasons why) and i have bills to pay which i already covered in advance for this month however next month i will have to pay them by the end.
I've been applying for new jobs like crazy but nobody seems to get back to me, i tend to apply and then follow up with a phone call if i don't hear anything within a week or so to check what the status is. Also i'm not being picky, i apply for anything and everything but am worried that i won't find anything by next month.
I have £3 in my bank account and my only assets worth anything are my PC & phone which i am not willing to give up, anyone got any suggestions on what i should do? Old school methods i used to use to make money are dried out and it's getting to the point where i will do anything apart from sell my body 🙃

I suggest checking out your Curriculum Vitae to make sure its up to date and if needs be redo it, might help you in your job hunting.

I tailor my CV for each job i apply for to make sure it suits the role as best it can without having to lie about things.
It is up to date as this was the first thing i made sure of after stopping work, do you think it could possibly be my old employer giving me a bad reference? From my knowledge i did nothing wrong there and i did not get fired/let go it was my decision to step down for reasons i'm not comfortable discussing online.

I mean if you parted from your previous employer on good terms I would not see any reason he would give a bad reference, unless they felt that your performance was poor in which case I am sure you would they would have made you aware of that whilst you where in the job. If you get along with your old boss you could possibly call him up and ask him if possible would he able to give you a reference if required that way im sure if he had some sort of issue he would be happy to tell you since you're no longer employed with there company

I parted on very good terms, performance was no issue as my manager went over it with me every few weeks and was impressed most of the time. Sometimes it was just satisfactory but never disappointing.
I'm really worried that if i'm not earning a full time wage again by next month i won't be able to repay my finances and that it will fuck up my credit score.
Just so we are clear i don't rent/mortgage a house and my monthly outgoings don't total over £200 however with 0 income i have no idea how i'm going to source that amount of money. Borrowing from family/friends is not an option at the moment either.
Also thanks for the replies I've been wanting to talk about this for a while but didn't know where to go

well if you parted on good terms and your performance was stable then I wouldnt think he would give a bad reference, you're from the UK I am guessing but yeah jobs here are somewhat hard to come by as you will more than know. I know Sainsburys had 20 jobs listed where I live and over 6000 people applied for it so it gives a fair idea on the amount of people out of work dude 😯
Well since you dont necessarily have Rent/mortgage to pay buddy are you atleast going to have a roof over your head & it would be more living expenses you need covered ?

My living expenses will be covered, the bulk of my outgoings is borrowed money and my phone bill. Other than that i have nothing else to pay for luckily.
I had no idea it was this hard to find work because my previous employer took me on after one phone call & one interview, no application or anything, they never even saw my CV.

gotcha buddy, so we talking friends you owe money to or actual lending companies ? I assume since you said it may effect your credit score its some sort of lending company within the UK ?
Well yeah the UK has a large number of unemployed people and has done for a while, I Assume for the meantime you have went to your local Benefits office to claim JSA ? if not I would recommend you do so plus they have really great programs there to get back into work I know people who have good a full time job after 4 weeks of being within the program, there is no shame in seeking help dude and they are great at there job.

Yeah i owe money to a lending company, i am a little hesitant to claim JSA as i don't want to be labelled as a dosser.
If i was to go to a benefits office would it be worthwhile explaining my debt situation to them?

gotcha, well you're out of work dude and well thats what JSA is there for help you. I wouldnt be ashamed if I where you applying for it 😉
its okay for people with full time jobs to talk bad about people on JSA but at the same time they have a job and any single one of them if made jobless would be applying for it to so I would not let that stop you.
Yeah if you do down and ask to speak to an advisor and explain everything to them, they have credit advisors in there which they can help you out and depending on your Debt you could qualify for a Support payment which I think is up to £600. One of my friends works in our local office so ive herd a lot of stuff from him and how they can actually help people out so its definitely worth checking it out.

I guess i'll book myself an interview at my local job centre then.
Could a tax refund be a possible option too? I didn't make over £12,500 this year but still paid taxes.

Well as you know the Tax year ends in April so depending on what TAX code you're on you may be able to apply for a rebate.
if you where on TAX code - 1250L then you will be able to Apply for a rebate, I know a few guys I have working for me where automatically put on the emergency tax code for 2018/2019 so they will be getting rebates.
Honestly buddy get yourself down in it will take them what 2 weeks max to get you setup and you will be back dated your money to the day you had your first appointment, during that period you could apply for a Crisis loan and they will cover you living expenses for the setup period, I suggest checking out there website to read about there schemes about steps to success.

Wishing you all the best dude and I hope you get yourself sorted soon! if you ever need anything shoot me a PM ill be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks for the help man, hopefully I should be eligible for a small tax refund as well as claiming JSA this should be more than enough to cover my expenses.
Just out of curiosity you say you have a few guys working for you, do you run a business?
