I use Protonmail as my main email. It just feels a way more comfortable. I'd recommend Protonmail.

I am still using Gmail and I never had an issue with VPN. I may try Protonmail again both are great Email providers security wise.

protonmail just seems more professionally done and you can have no identity on there, google is just overall a shitty company, with terrible PR.

Been using proton as of late as well, the fact that they don't spy on you like Google does should be enough.

I would suggest GMail for all of your personal accounts and protonmail for the rest.

Awful advice.

I recommend your domain under protonmail and their email for the rest. If you're doing something semi sketchy just make a trap account. Get as far as possible from Google services.

Gmail has better security rather than proton mail, means when you will log in from an unusual IP or another country, you will be locked with verification code.

ProtonMail is pretty good. You can also go for https://tutanota.com/
