First thing to learn/do?

Hello guys,
I'm a guy aspiring(if that's a word) to become a hacker.
I have no experience whatsoever.
What do you think is the first thing I should learn how to do?
I know some weak code but that's all.
Depends on what you want to do, there's plenty of categories that come under the branch of hacking.
I think social engineering and proxy/vpns are the most basic thing everyone should learn. It can be applied in any situation.

Thanks man,will look into it.

I will,ty for the recommendation.
Learn the basics, how computers work from there learn about OS's and then networking. Learn some coding you can check out TutorialsPoint/Cybrary and take free courses. Basically learn learn learn use google and search be independent you will learn more like that than anything else, also setup your own labs you will really learn that way. You will want to learn multiple languages in the beginning build up your confidence perhaps start with python some of the concepts translate such as variables, types, loops, functions, stuff like that you will want to learn C/CPP at some point perhaps C#. Consider also learning web technologies as well as languages you want to be well rounded. Their is some person who will tell you do download a RAT and go that route, it's a bad idea you end up not really respecting nor understanding what's going on.

I hope it helps I used to have a prepared statement with links, but I don't want to overwhelm someone who is new to all this. Let me ask do you currently have any skillsets? It could be you already code, work in windows or Linux everyday and know how to use bash or powershell, maybe you can assemble computers or you are a dedicated person and when you start something you will not quit till it's done and done right. Small things like just being dedicated actually will pay off more in the long run as this is certainly not an overnight process nor is it impossible it just takes time.

As I have already said I know a little of Python,JavaScript HTML code.
It's not really a lot so I would like to start over with everything, might help me learn faster.
As for the other stuff I have absolutely 0 experience.
Hope that clears up my situation to you 🙃

Very good you have some experience, you're actually not in a bad place.

Down the road you want to learn exploit development so ASM will be important. If you notice I keep the hacking down below since so much of it relies on having a good foundation.

Also watch IPPSEC tutorials. He does walk throughs on Hack The Box.org.
I learn so much from every video. Much of it I don't understand. But I always learn something.
