Coinbase alternatives

Hello everyone,

Ive been using coinbase for about a year and never had any issues with it.

I am planning on holding a few thousand dollars in eth/btc.

So my question is: Is coinbase safe in ur oppinion and if not what alternatives do u guys recommend?  ✌

Oh , no Coinbase is not an option for storing your assets, I would never store my tokens on an exchange wallets .
You can use any non- custodial wallets, which is 100% safe and secure.
The much safer ways of storing keys are Hardware Wallets , you can check Coldcard / Opendime / Trezor / Ledger. I have all these and I prefer Coldcard out of the all.
If you can't buy H.W then checkout Samurai Wallet [ Using for a long time ]
For an additional security, "I would suggest to Run your own Bitcoin Node", which prevents almost all kind of attacks. You can setup your own Bitcoin Node in your computer or Android phone. If it is not possible you can buy Casa node.
A few thousand is nothing, but as 0x3043 said, you do not have control of your wallets.

Use Exodus, Bread Wallet, or a combination of MyEtherWallet and Electrum.
I'd recommend an hardware wallet like Nano Ledger X.

No mention,
Just keep in mind. If you have no control over the Private Keys, then you can't claim it is your Coin.
" Not your keys, Not your coins "
Look into bittrex or cashapp for investing! And a hardware wallet for storage.
I use a Ledger Nano S myself and I haven't had any problems with it.

You should check out Voyager. It's by the Uber CEO, I believe. No fee's buying crypto and soon they'll have USDC. On coinbase, there's a fee to buy USDC. Hopefully, it doesn't have a fee on Voyager

Yea CB is fine. But i mean kinda vague of investing? What purpose you want? Any trusted exchange is fine i guess. Are you wanting to be able to withdraw to your bank straight from the site your storing your funds on? If you're American. Than Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken and CashApp are fine. I've used all 3. I've heard rumors Cashapp randomly bans for "large" transfers. idk though. I've withdrew a few grand no issues. So idk if this is true or not. Its been posted on the reddit a few times tho
