Ive suffered from manic depression my whole life, Im 25 and i currently take Abilify to help manage the Symptoms but i haven't been on it because it make me gain alot of unneeded weight. Just wondering if anyone knows of any pill that i can take that works instantly that i wont have weight gain?

I don't mean to be rude about this but how about looking at your current lifestyle and making changes accordingly before wanting to rely on a magic pill for everything.

I found for myself, when I identify negative habits/actions in my life, stop those habits, and replace them with healthy and POSITIVE habits, I feel way fucking better than I would compare to any pill.

i respect that sir. i have been replacing alot of my unhealthy habits such as smoking weed, eating and binge watching netflix and honestly it does make a difference i think the key is just to stay motivated and keep grinding.

I absolutely hate abilify, was on that years back and it made me worse. Right now Im on risperidone which is a heavy duty antipsychotic because I will reach dangerous levels and do some crazy things. Im just on risperidone and hydraxyzine for bipolar 1, but they had me on lithium for a week before I flipped out and overdosed on pills. Seriously you should ask about risperidone because it takes action pretty quickly, and I haven't gained as much weight as abilify caused me. The only problem I have heard of is men growing boobs on this med, but I haven't experienced it.
