I just built a new PC with an RTX 2080 and I have an ASUS VG248 monitor that supports 144hz. I am using a dual link DVI in my monitor connected to a dual link dvi to display port adapter plugged into my RTX but its only letting me choose 60hz. I have looked in nvidia control panel too and it will also only let me do 60hz. Any one have any ideas?
Monitor not letting my do 144hz? |

Have you tried to create a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel? you can change the refresh rate there. Also I saw online that in the nvidia change resolution page make sure you're not under the "Ultra HD, HD, SD" section. Scroll down to find "PC" section and then you should be able to get 144hz

I guess I read somewhere now that I can't use an adapter and so I just ordered some displayport cables off amazon so we will see if that fixes it. thank you tho

So the best I could find closest to displayport was the dvi-dual link to displayport :/ (Feb 19, 2020 07:38 PM)Parks Wrote: Does it give you the option if you lower the resolution? No it always stays at 50, 59, or 60
