Doctor was impressed | Need Respected HF member's advice

Hello respected members,

Few hours back, I visited doctor as I was not feeling well (described in my last thread). Doctor found that my Blood pressure was higher than normal and also recommended me to wear glasses while working on system. It was because I was working for continuous 17-18 hours a day to fulfill my dream. However after the medical check up and advising medicines, we started talking about personal life. He is my family doctor and we know each other personally. He asked me like why I am working for so many hours in a day, is this something new. I explained him about my ongoing project. He was so impressed that he offered me an investment of $3000 for 3% of stack. I have asked him for some time to think about this.

Thanks everyone who were worried about my health. I am better now. As per doctor's advice, I took some medicine and a good sound sleep. That helped me a lot.

I need your advice whether I should accept his offer or not?

Huge respect for you all!

Regards,
Glein Snow
What project is it if you don't mind me asking? Do you see it being successful? How long will it take for you to complete it? Do you know how to market it properly? What would you use the money for? Lots of stuff can go into a question like that before you start playing with somebodies money, and before we can answer it tbh.

Glad you're feeling better though buddy. Get you some good rest. That many hours without sleep per day can take its toll after a while.
Can't give you advice if we don't know what it is, but $3000 capital for 3% could be a good offer on a lot of start ups

And for that reason, I'm out. :P

On topic, sounds like a classic burnout. These are very underrated and very dangerous. Wish you the best

Glad you’re doing well now.

If you value your idea/businesss at $100,000 or less take the offer. If you value it more than that, don’t. Simple.
We would have to know what the project is about - but 3k$ is a good start for a lot of start-ups, so in that regard, it could help you out. HOWEVER, you'd need to make a plan for that money, don't just go blow it off ;)

That's a $100,000 valuation.

Is that what you think your company is going to be worth? Is the $3,000 needed?
lel
3000$ for 3% is pretty good if the project is at the beginning, at a start-up stage. We could use some info on the project and your value estimation.
I went to the doctor today because my back hurts. He said I shouldn't be carrying money bags around all the time. I told him I make so much money I don't know what to do. He said I should share this e-whoring method with my fellow hackforum members for the low price of $59.95.
It depends on so many factors. Do you really need that money ? Or do you need his skills or expertise ? How much do you value your start-up at the moment (or the launch day) ? Are you even ok with giving shares ? (even a small amount)

Most savage reply ever 🤣 and honestly I think OP is some 15 year old kid trying hard to get attention
anyways he should work improving his script lol.
I think if we knew what your project was we could advise better.

3000 for 3% is decent for a startup. All depends how you value it.
Is $3000 really decent for a start up?

A + This project is for social media platforms and for the people who really look for real followers or likes in short span of time. Till I do not launch my project and my costing is not recovered, I can not consider it as successful. Its almost in last stage of development. Any day in this month I am planning to launch this and star giving vouch copies to selected members. If I get money from him or from any body else, I will definitely use it on marketing.

Thanks and huge respect for caring about my health.

Thanks Ash Ketchum ! I am not sure if this is good or not. What if my project after launch attracts a lot of customers then it will easily return $50K per month.

I am not sure SIM-888979 about the worth. But yes money is needed on marketing part of the project.

I don't know whether I will take doc's offer or not, but still iwill have to be up at night because I am in love with my project and I have a bad habit of not leaving my work undone.  Thanks for caring about my health. Huge respect for you.

Exposed74 I need money on marketing part of my project. But his skills are really not required for this. He will be like a silent partner if I accept his offer. Till today I evaluate it in terms of hours i.e. 2880 hours of work (4 people 8 hours 30 days * 3 months)

Its a platform for getting real followers for social media.

I am not sure scam.

TBH, till I do not launch my product to the market, evaluating this will be a hard task.

If it has the potential for 50k/month then no don't do it.

$3000 at 3% is valuing your company at 100k but if its got the potential to make 600k/year from start-up this is not worth it.
