Selly keeping credit card token after you've "deleted" it

Planning to move away from Selly due to it being a sh*t service, so I removed my credit card from my account and added a new one. Now a couple days later they've charged me 2 weeks early on that same old card. Idk if I missed something about the Stripe API (which they use) but it seems to me they keep the credit card tokens even after you delete your card.

One of the shittiest payment integrations for sure, can't wait to get rid of it.
That's why I use VCC's for things like that. I set a monthly limit (if needed) and then block the card once I no longer need it.

You can use Privacy.com for that, or Revolut.

I did actually change the card to a Revolut one, but they keep charging my old card even after I deleted it lol

Set a monthly limit to $1 (or $0 if possible), then they won't be able to charge you.

Revolut will block it.

Yeah I know, problem is I used my regular credit card to pay for fees before, and even now that I've removed that card and added a revolut card they keep charging my regular card.
Got another charge from Selly on my old card today. Guess I'll have to call the bank.

Very strange - they should be able to just remove the token from the system 😕
