I recently won $50 from a contest:
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...=Nebulance
The guy haven't sent a pm to me and as far as I can see has been offline since the rewards were picked by Eagle.
I have read the Help Docs but still can't find anything about fake giveaways or fake member contests and what are the actions taken from stuff to those who do fake giveaways?
Thanks,
Wannacry.

According to this Help Doc, at the very bottom under "Other" it says to report the post:
https://hackforums.net/misc.php?action=h...ht=contest
Other
Old and new policies alike that do not fall under any of the above report options or have not been given their own yet would be classified as Other. This option currently includes the following reasons:- Any post or thread violating a sectional rule not covered by the other options;
- Contests past their due time i.e. fake;
- Gravedug thread with a useless reviving post;
It doesn't look good that he's also been offline since 5/19/2020
According to this post the winners were picked on 5/24/2020

It also happens to me wherein I won $200 from a contest but somehow only partial amount was being sent to me.
He keep on promising that he will send the rest money in some hours then days passes then he became inactive and until now he doesn't managed to get back on me.
This is the tread where I won the members contest.

This is coming from a member with first-hand experience too.

Fake contests result in banned or closed accounts. I’d like to see OP come online though and have a chance to fulfill the contest. It sucks, but you won’t know if OP intends to pay out until they come online.
I’m sure you will get your prize when he’s on he doesn’t look like
He is short of the money

I think you'd be pretty surprised how much money some of these members who look like they're rich, actually have.

Completely understand that, it’s just the fact he donated quite a large sum when he first donated.

Yeah but I've seen members come and donate hundreds if not thousands in the past who were later closed within that first year of them being active, sometimes even less.
Some people have the idea that they can just "buy" their trustworthiness via awards and whatnot, and unfortunately it works on newer members who are naive and possibly younger as well, but for the majority I would hope at least that it doesn't fool many; because it shouldn't.
