This is not true at all, money is not the cure to happiness. I have a good job and a really good carrier path. Financials are not always the issue nor "cure" depression, sure it may help some but others not so much.

Exactly, I always thought when I was younger that one meant everything and then I slowly started to realize that wasn't true.

Cure to happiness or loneliness?
I guess money can't buy everything but it was really a necessity in order to obtain happiness.
The more money you have the more obligations in life you will be bearings.
I guess in order to cope up depressions is to have peace of mind, the feel of secured and being loved.
i follow your basic strategy, keeping myself surrounded by friends who are a positive influence and who dont affect my mood adversely. I also keep myself very busy so as to not let my mind wander aimlessly.

I honestly think this one of my best ways of dealing with it as well. Unfortunately though I have a habit to dwell on the past for what seems to be no reason and I'll find myself randomly through out the day thinking myself into a corner because of it.
I know in one hand it is so hard to deal with life and in one when you got depression it feel so fucked every second of life i have faced some . Just got suggestion to get involved and get busy on sone work and dont give tome to think nonsense.

I tend to do that too, after all the mind sways from time to time. My trick to get out of that is to laugh, tell myself that I was stupid back then, wish the best for the people involved and get back to the task at hand. 😁

That's some really good advice, thank you! I definitely will try to do this bedtime it happens. I appreciate it.
When I get overwhelmed with emotion, no matter if it's depression or anxiety, I try to go for a walk or a run. If I am too anxious for that, I take a hot bath, which usually helps me focus more on the waters temperature than the anxiety for a while, which is usually enough to let go.
I was real depressed in Feb - April. Like very very depressed. What's changed? Surrounding my self with people tbh. Also I quit smoking pot as it always put me in my head and made me think about depressing shit.

Just try to distract yourself dawg.
Depression if you mean clinical, is a chemical imbalance and you need SOME medication. Otherwise all is psychological and it is caused by YOU. I am not saying that to be rude or ''accuse'' you, knowing that YOU is producing those thoughts is actually liberating, you can think of other things if you want. What you suffer from is excessive imagination. This imagination tho is focused on ''what would go wrong''. There are many reasons for that, the main being ''fight or flight''. Fight or flight anxiety (blood rushing to your hands to run for your life, quick heart beats sweating etc) is triggered in the jungle to fight a big animal or a thief yada yada Now in our society life we consider ''paying bills'' ''going to school'' ''going to job'' as animals and thiefs, and paradoxically in cities (wich is way more safe ACTUALLY than a jungle) we get a lot more of fight or flight reactions from what we would get if we would live in a jungle. This fake ''fight or flight'' is the basis of fake fight or flight (anxiety witch leads to depression). You believe that ''something out there, in the -big bad world-'' will do some hurt to you, so you rationalize this by being ''empty or sad''. What do i mean by that. I mean that the main reason ''gratitude'' is an important practice, even if you fake it a little in the beginning is that it takes away the fake fight or flight. For example when you wake up and you remind yourself that ''now i am alive'' ''no war is happening in this room, city country....'' ''im completely safe'' ''most of the stuff like food home opportunities is already here'' ''im thankful for that''. It might seem stupid but it is actually TRUE. All the extra stuff is excessive imagination controlled by your unconscious primitive programming that causing anxiety and further down the road depression, you feel life has no meaning (you have seen everything already yadayada which means you think that everything is PAST, which is not true, every day something new is happening). So those are my scattered thoughts on depression. What i would recommend as a solution is to make your imagination conscious. What imagination does is taking data from your past as building blocks and recreating a scenario in your head. So instead of letting your imagination creating uncontrolably, commit yourself 5 minutes each day in creating funny scenarios in your head, this will break the thought pattern of depressive scenarios and you will start feel happier again. Another practice is daily gratitude reminding yourself the things you LIKE and writing them down. They seem simple, but they really work. That's all from me, hope you the best.

Personally I try to surround myself with friends to help keep my mind of things but that doesn't always work as well as I'd like. Sometimes "disconnecting" from everything for a bit will also help.
Just try to stay close to my family because my depression didn't originate from them.
