Just a small suggestion for an OPTIONAL input for contracts that involve a middleman.
The current system only allows for the buyer and seller to input payment methods. My suggestion is to allow the contract creator to check an optional box called “MiddleMan’s Payment Info.” If checked, the MiddleMan will have the ability, but not obligation, to input his payment address. The buyer/seller would still be allowed to input their payout info.
This prevents any confusion on where to send crypto (and other) funds to the middleman.

I had a draft ready to post the exact same suggestion. In my opinion there is no need for an optional box just a box for the middleman to include his or just the removal of the addresses in the middleman contract.
A user recently got scammed because he sent 1.8k directly to the other user because he only saw his address in the contract:

This also works and is probably better. There are only a couple of us MM's the really would have any feedback on this feature. Xerotic what do you think?

one suggestion i would like to add if it works.
Maybe you can have a option to use a mm for a small fee.
and the mm before any deals would have to put his down payment to the staff or to the site btc wallet if anything goes wrong.
depending on how much his down payment is would also mean how much maximum he is allowed to exchange so if the mm did scam.
for example his down payment is $500 the exchange can't go over $500 or a error would go on the contract
the users would get refunded by the mm down payment money.
also another point would be is have a option where it shows how much that mm is allowed to exchange up to in the contract.
why use this idea?
reason is mm get to keep the small fee and gain popularity and trust from other users
let me know what you think it's just a suggestion
Just saw this thread and I agree with the suggestion.
I was about to deal with a guy here for Instagram Username claim for $1.8k . Buyer accidently sent whole amount to my address and I had to transfer the funds to Kill Joy so he can secure it while I complete the service for buyer.
This infact should be implemented to prevent future confusion.

Hack Forums nor staff will get involved in any deal/escrow transaction. This has been said many, many times.
This is a great idea.
There's been numerous times where someone has asked for example my BTC address, I'll send it in the chat, and you either get one of two messages most of the time (if they do end up doing this): A; "So it's this address right?" (directly after you've sent it to them)
and B; "Can you send your QR code?" Now this isn't a bad question, however with the ability to link your BTC address in the HF contract they can click the QR code button directly. That way like you said there's no confusion to be had.
That's just one example of numerous reasons why this would not only help MM's during deals, but more so keep everyone honest and in check.

The QR code would be a nice edition on top of it as well if implemented, but not a necessity.
Removal of any btc addresses from the contract would work too.
No point in them being in the contract tbh, would avoid any confusion.
Also a nice button that starts a group convo would be nice hehehe I am lazy and don’t like starting individual convos let alone a group convo zzz
Where the mm stats page at... shit was suggested 6 months ago 👀😶

The group convo would be awesome. Even if it was auto-generated (unless one already exists with said 2-3 members).

$1,800 lost because he was careless. His fault and he should face the consequences.
Though I wouldn't mind if Omni decides to add this suggestion.

if they all looked like this (no payment info in the contract) then it wouldn't have happened.
when the only btc addy that is in the contract is the sellers - the buyer sometimes assumes it's the mms addy. Unfortunately. Happens if they're new/never used an mm.

I think leaving in the addresses is better than completely removing for the sake of logging where money was sent/supposed to be sent. Adding in a clearly defined MM address area negates the issue of members being confused as to what address belongs to said MM.

That actually looks pretty neat OP!
I'll consider this but it's going to have to be low-priority. We're just starting a big project for HF which is going to take a few weeks most likely.
