Dear HF,
I want to know if anyone of you have been close to dying and if so, what happened and why?
Myself, I have been poisoned before, I was on a holiday with family in Thailand and I was told that I was sick during one night, I did not think much of it, because I just felt a little bit uncomfortable. The day went on, I went to a bar, got some drinks and food with family, before I know it, I need to throw up and take a shit every 10th minute. And then BOOM, I slam to the ground and I am being thrown in the car by my family to rush to the hospital.
Basically, in a country where even the doctor did not speak fluent English (this was in a smaller village), I was told that I had been poisoned and the poison had reached my heart. So if I did not get into the hospital in time, I would have died. When I left the doctor made me sign a waiver, that if I die, it is not their fault, because I wanted to leave the hospital early.
Not a funny experience.
TL;DR - I got poison in my heart and almost died, but I live on to this day.

When I was younger I ran down a really big hill with a 100ft drop at the bottom and I just managed to stop myself as I reached the edge. I was about 1 step away from probably falling to my death.

This must also have been a pretty scary experience, especially if you can see how it would have went, like falling straight down.

Yeah it was man! I would have definitely have died or been seriously injured, I still sometimes have nightmares about it to this day.

I think possibly but Its hard to tell for sure if it was "near death" I don't prefer to think about that stuff. No fun.
Pretty crazy, and idk if I've had any near death experiences but I've been rushed with a machette before some guy tryna rob my shit and fallen off high ass ladders and shit, but never anything I was worried about my life truly in so I guess not.
had a bad motorcycle accident, flew over 10 meters, broke my femur and the bone came out, 2 surgeries and a lot of blood lost, gladly im alive.

I've been already between life and death after a car crash.
Luckily I didn't have keep undesirable effects after that.
I didn't necessarily have a 'near-death experience' but I've had too many times
that I could've easily died if it wasn't for the roll of the dice.

Yeah three suicide attempts,
a heart attack at the age of 15
And I am born with a heart disease so barely made it into this world alive, made plenty of surgeries so I have a huge scar on my chest all the way down to the
umbilicus / navel

Yeah I've realized that.
It ain't worth it, and it sucks to live everyday not knowing I might get another heart attack.

Probably a few, missed being hit by a bus going real fast by the tiniest margin one time. The only time I felt like I was going to die was a panic attack though lmao
