@groups@ mentioning possible?

Don't know if this is feasible, but would be cool to be able to mention @groupname@ that would send an alert to all the group members for the post.

Ie; @gamblers@ would tag all users in the Gambler group.

Only con - maybe @staff@ would be abused/annoying so that group could be excluded. Kappa.

Would be cool, but maybe only allow if you’re in that group?

yeah or even... only the leaders/owners. Very limited. But then again, group's have their own subforum. So this would probably be low priority/denied suggestion. Zzz

If you want to send a notice about something, you can always use group convos.
Staff member 10th Jan 2017 - 30th May 2020.
HF Administrator 30th May 2020 - 14th July 2022.

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.

Peace out!

Let's be real buddy, no one uses those.

I meant specifically to tag them in posts/threads tho. For example: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...id60412726 - would want to tag all the Gamblers there so they can easily sign up for the tourney.

(I've already sent notices in our group chats... but annoying them on site never hurts too)

i think this is very good idea but if only leaders from groups could do mentions ,

imagine if anyone can mention all members in any comment , that's would be a f**king crazy .
This would be extremely annoying. I don’t want to hear what Lavish Living has to say about Infamous.

If anything, this should only be allowed for a group you are a part of and only if your post resides in your own group subforum.

Can I not reiterate an opinion? He never specified anythiny about who specifically has access to the @ feature (i.e, group owners being able to tag other group owners).

I'm in favor of it, especially if it's something you can turn off via the notify control panel.

No hate on my boi Xerotic, but no one reads or uses the group convo feature. It's too hidden.

Can vouch for this. I have many convo notifications (and PMs too) but I don't care to look at them.
Why isn't the group convo used more? That seems like a failing of the leadership to encourage using it. It already provides notification. So technically it fulfills your request Lavish Living .
From a resource standpoint this would be a lot of work for the server I would imagine.

Cause they're all on discord.

It would be nice to have a "mark all notifications as read " button
