I use 1 towel but a really big one, my girlfriend though she uses 2 towels, one for the body and one for the hair. lol

But I myself only stick to using one towel when I shower (and this doesn't apply for the entire week, I use multiple towels during a week's time obviously, lol)

Here's my towel setup:
towel 1: place it on floor to dry my feet before putting slippers on (Japanese thing... never did it back home)
towel 2: thick towel that you can consider each side a separate towel, one side for upper body, other side for lower, mark the sides depending on that little wash instruction thing attached to towel.
towel 3: ... just kidding, don't really have towel 3
