I will give my thoughts on bitcoin only, I just don’t really believe / willing to discuss others.
I have this thoughts for a while now, and I’m willing to share it just to see how accurate I was, or if I wasn’t I’ll learn.
So I’ve made my position on BTC at ~3.5k$ AVG price.
Why?
I won’t write my whole view on current monetary system because it’s too much to write, but I was pretty sure that picking BTC at 3.5k would be a bargain, sheeps don’t understand what money is, they praise the dollar, they don’t really care / know about the difference between gold, REAL money vs currency.
So when theres no talk at all - small but negative talk on btc and the price looks stable, that’s a green light for me to buy.
My thoughts on BTC in short term future:
I don’t think we will see growth until there will be some new red headlines about the market, which is not going to happen for approx ~half a year (trumps tariffs decision), when masses are dumping currency & market assets, they look for safer place to keep their buying power safe - big money moving to BTC & Gold as you’ve seen in the past month
So basically I think we will see bitcoin going down for awhile, until the next red market news.
My thoughts on BTC in long term future:
Oh oh oh, this one is good.
History says that every 2-7 years, there supposed to be a painful market crash, see you can’t just inflate the whole world currency, and expect prices to remain the same / expect people to enjoy the inflation.
You can just fall into a whole, and instead of getting out of there you dig it bigger, and expect good things to happen.
Back in 2008 we had 7trilion debt, today we own 23b
It’s like you get paid 1000$/wk but spending 1200$/wk for years.. who’s going to pay your debt? In governments scenario, we’re the one to pay the debt.
I’ll explain for the newbies:
Main reason bitcoin is there, is not because we’re looking for high tech ledger, or cheaper transactions, nor anonymity.
The main problem it came to solve is inflation, buying power saving.
To understand the current economic system and why it sick, you must know the history of it (you have to check 1933 when gold standard was abandoned, and 1971 when Bretton woods system abandoned).
I’ll try to make it as short as possible, but when you have have 3 people in the world, 1 has apple, the second one has peach, and the third owns a watermelon, now the first guy wants to trade his apple for the third guy’s watermelon, but the third guy wants the peach.
So to make trade easier between commodities, they invented the dollar, so let’s say that god created 10$ and put them into the circulation, so now we have 1 apple, 1 watermelon, 1 peach, and 10$, in the world.
So let’s assume every of these fruits are now worth 10$.
If god gets drunk tomorrow and decides to create another additional 10$, the money supply in circulation grows to 10$, means that now 20$ chasing the same amount of commodities, nothing else changed, but the market cap of dollars grew, means that the fruits will now cost 20$.
Those who held the fruits (in reality - gold, bitcoin) will remain their buying power & might even profit.
Those who held the dollar (in reality - stocks, currency) will soon realize that their 10,000$ savings 3 years ago is 8,000$ today (for example)).
TL;DR
1. I think that we’re heading into a crash, right now we’re in place with too much uncertainty.
2. Stocks, houses & other commodities hit new record
3. Currency supply (USD) grows 5% a year
4. I see BTC going down in the short term future, I myself won’t try to make money on that dip and buy back later, as long as it won’t go below 3,5K I’m good.
5. In the future it has HUGE potential, and I’m really sorry for those who will keep analyzing if it worth putting some of your money into it, but won’t make the move til something bad happens.
6. People losing trust in the currency economic system, and starting to understand the corruption.
I really think that Bitcoin is one of the most greatest inventions of the world.
*Everything I wrote here it’s IMO, except the facts regarding inflation, etc.
*Feel free to give your opinion, I like discussions.
Thanks for reading.

The Broker,
As long as you make 15-20% in the stock market, nobody is going to risk it on BTC like they did before that drove it to $20k.
My discord linked to my account was deleted, do not add me on discord to do deals, please start a contract/send a message!

Basic reply of someone with no economic education.
Idc about profit in $, I am talking about the buying power.
I recommend you to explore shadowstats.com and to study what buying power is.
Since 87’ the Dow losing buying power, means that those who held the Dow in 87 could buy way more with that 1 Dow, than people who hold the Dow today.
What have maintained it’s buying power and even grew, we’re other commodities such as gold, silver, crude oil, etc.
BTC is almost the same as gold when we talk about money, but uneducated sheeps won’t realize it yet because who cares about buying powers and commodities when you have instagram & likes to care about

you have to understand the rise of btc right now is partly dependent on trump's trade wars. as no it wont go to zero but it will drop if china and usa come to an agreement. as what got btc to 20k in first place.. supply and demand...

I unsertand what you're saying you seem like a smart guy buT I don't I agree with the last part you said about Stocks/Dollars. The dollar always loses value in a long period of time, stocks always going up in a long period of time but retraces due to bubbles (Internet Bubble, Real Estate Bubble)
But yeah I STRONGLY BELIEVE all assets with go up in value because of Inflation:
- REAL ESTATE
- GOLD
- STOCKS
- BITCOIN

China is the second biggest gold buyer, if the would trust and want to reach an arrangement with the U.S., they wouldn’t do so.
You seem to understand what’s going on but you don’t really see the most important thing:
Once people doubt the current economy, they run away to commodities.
It’s much easier to buy & hold btc these days than gold, and that’s why btc has a lot of potential as being the gateway for crashes.
History shows that every time that a government tried to manipulate the market/currency, the ending of that currency was 0 value.
If me, you and Mr. X will play monopoly, and whenever Mr. X runs out of money he clicks a button and gets a new deposit of $ that was actually created out of thin air, how long do you think we will be able to stay in the game til the moment we understand that someone is having advantage over us & interrupting our game (life & value in reality) til we quit playing with him?
I’d say we can live with this 20, 100, and even 200 years, but in the end, it will crush and those who quit playing it earlier will benefit.
I don’t know if this will happen in my lifetime, but if it does I want to be the one who benefits, now I’m not stupid, I don’t say just buy & hold, if you’re getting in this game you must have a plan.
Buy when no one cares, sell when everyone does.
TL;DR:
One day the currency will know today (USD, EUR, etc..) will end at 0 value, and commodities will be on top of the list again.
If you play your cards smart, you will benefit from this crash.

Yeah I used to think like you but nothing wrong, check my point of view:
What are stocks? A portion of companies ownership (not really ownership but ok).
Why do some worth more and some less?
Apple makes more revenue than Netflix, that’s why it’s market cap is way bigger than Netflix’s.
What do the do in order to make profit?
They sell products which are depreciating in value, for currency most of the time.
What will happen if the monetary system we know today collapses?
Take Venezuela as an example
What will happen to the companies who used to make profit for depreciating assets/USD pairing trade?
They will find it almost impossible to make revenue
Why?
Because I don’t see myself care about the next generation iPhone release while others are hunting for food and selling their homes just to afford their family lives for the next day.
And nah man don’t tell me that we’re not in 1800 and this thing can’t happen.
Yes it can, never forget that currency iOS currency because I trust that my dollar can buy your let’s say cow (if you’re a farmer) and you trust it too.
If you lose trust in the dollar because the US government has gone bankrupt, you won’t sel your cow for my dollar.
What we’ve seen in 2008 or the end of 2018 wasn’t a currency crash, when a currency crash occurs (really harsh inflation), woaaaah mate you don’t even wanna know what to expect.

The Broker,
Very well put OP. Finally a thread that isn't saying things like "I think BTC will moon to 20k soon, chart looks good"...
BTC has established itself as valuable beyond a doubt. People have and continue to show that they collectively believe BTC holds value. What most people don't realize yet, is that BTC is a scarce resource. With only a finite supply. So unlike the dollar or other currencies, no one can just print more.
And when its all mined, every last bit, that's it. If the demand rises just a tiny bit, the price will greatly reflect that. It will be more difficult to obtain, and the price will act accordingly.
The first phase of getting people to collectively find it valuable is complete. Now to educate people on inflation...
Guess we'll see what the future holds huh.

Guess we'll see what the future holds huh. Also check my point of view on btc price:
The price is 7600 now as I see on CMC, but I highly doubt this, like super highly doubting:
What cmc price or other sites shows?
The transactions on BTC exchanges, bids, asks, and sizes but wait....
If you sell a service on HF and you’re looking to get paid only in btc (which expressing high demand on btc), and I pay you in BTC, cmc’s robots don’t really know what happened in our trade, so they don’t really know if I paid those bitcoins for a service, traded them for another coin around, etc. they can only monitor whats going on the exchanges.
TL;DR:
IMO btc right now already worth 5 figures if we calculate the real intrinsic value, and what people are doing with it.
Bumping
I wanna hear more opinions.
