To Buy Bitcoins anonymously in the US, you must already have bitcoins??

I am trying to purchase bitcoins anonymously in the US and I seem to be stuck with a chicken and the egg problem. Exchanges like Bisq would allow connecting with vpn+tor and would allow purchasing bitcoins with gift card or sending cash, and that's good. BUT they require that you already have a small amount of bitcoins to get started and I have zero. SO i have looked into buying bitcoin vouchers, crypto atms, you name it, but either they require KYC info, or they block TOR or they wont accept anonymous payment types. Does anyone have a suggestion or can offer a solution?
Could you not just use the currency exchange section with a trusted seller and pay with one of their accepted methods? Presumably one without your name attached to it.
Even though exchanges like Binance couldn't care less about you doing your thing (binance usually doesn't cooperate), the issue is they need KYC for your account. I don't suggest using deeps because at some point they will freeze your funds.

Depending on the amount of crypto you want to buy, you could travel abroad and purchase them with cash. Apart from local dealers that you can buy it from, many countries have exchange places where you can purchase large amounts and place them on a cold wallet.

That only makes sense if you are spending large amounts of fiat. It's not worth it for a few thousand. How much are you planning to buy?

Hi, I only need a tiny amount to get started on Bisq or robosats, then I can use those sites buy the full amount I want which is around 10K. Traveling to another country is not realistic for this exercise.

As soon as I purchase the coins I would move them to my own wallet on my PC.

Where? do you mean on this site?
According to the Bisq site, you can get started with Bisq with fiat of 0.002 BTC. That's about $41.
