Looks like a beginner-friendly cosplay to pull off as well. (Jun 7, 2021 10:08 AM)Lilith Wrote: I cosplayed a decent bit back in 2015-2017. Celty from DRRR, Haruko from FLCL, and Uta from TG. I also wanted to do Izaya from DRRR, started working on his coat but just wasn't satisfied with the materials I had and never saw it through. Impressive. You create the costumes from scratch? You're just like that one character from Genshiken, hm. (Jun 7, 2021 10:26 AM)Beherit Wrote: Impressive. You create the costumes from scratch? You're just like that one character from Genshiken, hm. Not everything but most of it. I didn't make Celty's jumpsuit cus I had 0 confidence working with leather. I do wish I made it myself though, I feel like I would have been a lot pickier with how it turned out and it would have been higher quality. Her helmet was a lot of fun to make though! Uta's outfit was also super simple to make since it's just a modified t-shirt and black harem pants with some acrylic paint + a cardigan. His mask (no face) was surprisingly easy too. Haruko was also really easy on my end since a friend made the coat and gloves for me so I only had to modify the boots which were super easy. Are you still making more? (Jun 7, 2021 10:53 AM)Beherit Wrote: Ah, Durarara, Tokyo Ghoul, and FLCL, right? Are you still making more? Nope, not anymore. Life just kinda got in the way and I stopped. I've always wanted to get back into it but as I get older, it becomes harder to find the time or energy for it. (Jun 7, 2021 11:18 AM)Lilith Wrote: Nope, not anymore. I understand what you mean though, especially the time during covid; more things worth prioritizing. |
