Hi guys, is it possible to execute malicious code/exe files by opening a PDF? If so, could someone please explain to me how can I do it? (I'm asking only for personal purposes, just to dabble).

You can put Javascript code into PDF files. Here's a guide on that: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9640...f-document

If you can manage to find a way to execute stuff (or deadass just do anything malicious with Javascript lol) your PDF file is all you need.

You can execute VBA to execute PowerShell. PowerShell has a built in detection but there is ways to get around it.
