BBC Report on Ukraine

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56...ket-newtab

So far that's the absolute best story I have read explaining with minimum bias the situation with Putin, NATO, and Ukraine.

It has been hard to get past the noise to understand why this is happening and what's going on.
This is just sad for everyone involved. Plenty of the Russian people do not want this war either. The country is ran by a crazy dictator.

I see WW3 starting and instead of physical attacks it'll be cyber attacks. IT/Security people will be recruited.
I gave it a read, and I can't agree with this statement

I live in a country that got fucked up by NATO, like hard time, and I can guarantee you with my life, which probably doesnt cost much anyway, that BBC is just a propaganda machinery and it doesnt stop

in this text you only can see basically the aftermath of the war, which is now, and not the last 8 years or so of different political/war crisis which led to exactly this point

Exactly, the Cyber attacks have already begun too actually. This will definitely be the start of a crazy ass WW3 which involves technology/cyber attacks 100000%

I heard it's confirmed that so far 450 russian troops have been killed. Ukraine is still putting up a fight and the death count with sky rocket once they move into the capital.

Sources for death tolls?
BBC reporting on the fake news.

That's why I'm having a hard time finding reliable information. I am not trusting most of it.
Its also important to watch the Putin's speech with subtitles
https://youtu.be/1qS6J-WbTD8

To have the raw speech and his opinion on why he's goin berserk right now, because otherwise we only get one side of the sory

Heard it on NewsMax and The Guardian is saying the same thing: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/f...en-wallace

Who knows the actual numbers but there have been quite a few Russian aircraft's shot down and some intense battles so I don't doubt these numbers. Russia is trying to say they've taken out all their air defenses but these are lies, the Ukrainian air force is still flying around.

I don't believe a word he says. The whole "they are going to join NATO" is just an excuse that only idiots believe. He's made it very clear before that he wants the Soviet Union back. There isn't even any talk from Ukraine about joining NATO.

It's funny though, he claims he wants to stop NATO from expanding but now he has a much stronger NATO presence because of what he did. Not to mention I'm sure other countries will be thinking of joining NATO now that they are seeing what's happening to Ukraine.

Communism will never win.

Overall good read. btw, when you say "Communism will never win", who do you mean? Because EU is now more communist than RU and the most socialist country in the world is USA. Putin is not a Marxist, suggest you read more about him.

Also NATO has encroached into Eastern EU for decades with concern from RU. Literally only Ukraine and Belarus are the only 2 bordering nations of EU/RU that are not in NATO.

So far the NATO issue is legit based on past history of what NATO has done and how it's been treating Ukraine favorably. Putin has every reason to believe they would allow Ukraine into NATO.

You can look at the history yourself. Putin is clear on this and there really isn't much dispute on his reasoning. I don't read any credible news outlets saying that Ukraine would never have joined NATO before Putin's invasion, but that's what they are all saying now. That UA has no chance of joining NATO. That's already a win for Putin even if he decides tomorrow to withdraw troops. To scare the world of WW3 if it keeps pushing against their border.

Maybe Putin hits Kyiv but leaves quickly and takes the 2 border regions to the East. Who knows? I just do hope that this conflict is fast and ends within a week.

"I don't read any credible news outlets saying that Ukraine would never have joined NATO before Putin's invasion"

Why should they promise that?  They are a free nation and NATO is open to anyone that wants to join that meets certain requirements.  I stand with capitalism and freedom, not a country that suppresses their peoples freedom of speech and sends their political opponents to prison.  Every country has their faults but there is a clear difference between us and the system set up in Russia and China.  I have friends in Russia and they all say the same thing, that they are afraid to speak out against the government because they could be beaten up and sent to prison for it.

"To scare the world of WW3 if it keeps pushing against their border."

Then I guess Russia wants a war.  He doesn't get to dictator who joins NATO and who doesn't.  Honestly I think he will be removed over all this or he may be assassinated, maybe by people in his own government because there are many in Russia who don't support what he's doing.  If Hitler had nuclear weapons should we have just backed down and let him continue with his plans?

"Also NATO has encroached into Eastern EU for decades with concern from RU. Literally only Ukraine and Belarus are the only 2 bordering nations of EU/RU that are not in NATO."

Good!  Maybe Russia will change their communist ways and try to join NATO as well and then we can all get along.  Putin doesn't want to give up power and that's why he fears democracy so much.
Thanks for the discussion.
