I saw one member awhile back just reposting sentences of other members. I wonder what the purpose of spamming here even is? Aside from disgruntled ex members like the other night that is.

I remember when we used to have 'reported posts' in our profile. That was a cool feature :)

Would be nice to have an award goal for like 1,000 successfully reported posts, but not sure if that would cause misuse or too many, unnecessary reports.

This is awesome. I remember once I got a ban evading multi closed and then he made a new account and posted threads with my dox in it lol… had to dm xerotic to get that taken down asap

I could imagine if they did this at 2am PST, when the only staff on this site is asleep… it could be up for hours. But with this update that should never happen so cheers thanks

Woah, can't say I expected to see this that's for sure. But I love it, this should 100% help with the workload you now have not to mention make members more involved in reporting.

Side suggestion: Maybe bring back the ability to view Report Count on profiles so members can track how much they've helped HF over time? It might incentivize members to be more active in that department as well. I remember back in the day that was a very popular feature to keep track of.

Hey there, when reporting the first post of a thread, it hides the first post but leaves the thread up with all the other replies. Is this intentional?

It's how it currently functions but it is not intentional. I barely got this plugin done last night. My back is now totally screwed from sitting in my chair so long. Hurts like hell. Anyways, I'll work on this plugin more in the next few days to tighten it up including Unapproving the entire thread if the reported post is the first post. I was fairly sure it was going to behave this way when I wrote it but the time constraint prevented me from adding that code.

And btw, it absolutely seemed to work well last night. No abuse, 2 posts reported, and we're all good. This is a game changer against fighting spam on HF. Even though it's good this stops spammers posting porn or trolling 200 posts. I think it's an even better tool at stopping scam spam which overall is a bigger problem.

Most of these threads you would move they'd go to the Personal Life forums? I see your reports. Most of them I don't even bother moving the thread.

I'm wondering if I should get rid of Personal Life entirely and Lounge merge it.

Yes. Everyone's going for the double-awards of Lounge Head while they're shooting for the Blue Pumpkin. It's been excessive since October started. Personally, I like having them broken out, as I ignore some of them more than others depending on preferences. I have realized the reports were ignored, so stopped. Had considered suggesting merging them all, since people ignore them. Personally, I still like them though.
