Contract #374612 Dispute has been Resolved

Contract Link: https://hackforums.net/contracts.php?act...cid=374612
Disputed Member: https://hackforums.net/member.php?action...id=2273342

I signed the contract with SIM-2273342 on August 26th, 2023.
The amount agreed in the contract is 5000 dollars. I transferred a deposit of 2000 dollars to SIM-2273342 in advance.
The project of the contract is to develop a script
SIM-2273342 says he can't develop scripts. He said he found another dev to complete the development task.
Before signing the contract, SIM-2273342 told me that I could finish the task in about a week.

After a month, dev suddenly said that he couldn't finish the task. Then SIM-2273342 told me that he would refund my money. And on October 2, 2023, SIM-2273342 released the thread. The content of the thread is: "Need to repay a client $ 2k, Don't have cryptoliquid right now". When I saw the thread he posted. I replied to him in the thread: "You don't have to give it all back to me. Just give me a refund of 1500 dollars. It didn't succeed, but it is also too ok your time. I should pay some feelings for you and dev.". These contents can be viewed in the thread content he posted on October 2, 2023.

Then from October 2 to now, SIM-2273342 transferred me a total of 200 dollars. At first, he said he was exchanging virtual currency.

Now I send him a message, and he has ignored me. He hasn't replied to my message for many days. But I saw that he was still online on the HF platform.

I chatted with SIM-2273342 through discord. I use DiscordChatExporter to export all chat records. I also added dev's discord. Then dev told me that he didn't get any fees. I also exported the chat record with dev.

SIM-2273342 is a senior member of HF. I believe he didn't lie to me. I hope he can reply to my message as soon as possible after seeing the contract dispute and deal with it actively.
Oh well, here we go again. First 8K now 2K. Bro, how many other development projects have you going on with others right now?
I will NEVER DM you first on Telegram/Discord

Always confirm you are talking with me on site using PM. Always use contract. I do not do currency exchange/gift cards/AGC.

If I lose this 2000 yuan. My total loss is almost $20,000. Some projects have not signed contracts in HF. Sure. There are still some contracts in progress. haha😁
Everybody keeps telling you to use a middle man and you keep ignoring them. This is the 4th person that I know of that's scammed you. I don't know why you even bother opening a deal dispute if you're just going to laugh about being scammed every time.
Don't fall for a scam, use a middleman!

You know there are four, but there are actually more than four. Ha ha. I can't understand how a senior member of HF can break his promise for thousands of dollars.

It is also possible that the price I gave him was a little high. Dev told me that the project price he agreed with SIM-2273342 was $200. A project with a contract of $5000. Dev is willing to complete the project at a price of $200 (of course, dev doesn't know that the contract amount of the project is $5,000).So the agreed price between SIM-2273342 and dev is $200.😆
Christ, hopefully this gets resolved, I saw the other thread for the 8k, you don't seem to have the best of luck, hopefully when the guy comes back online you get an answer..

But yea, you 100% need to start use a trusted middleman, does also suck this dude is also a vendor.

Yes, middlemen should be used in future transactions. So that there will be no such problems.😁

Id honestly suggest you use Cooligan as a middle man for future deals.

Any high rep member can exit scam at anytime. Don't place your trust just because they are highly repped or an ancient forum member.
There were a few that exited for a few hundred dollars.

I think Omni can consider implementing a new feature in the contract that enforces a Middleman to be involved for deals above $100 otherwise the contract doesn't go through.

These scams got to stop.

Yes, through several transactions, I think the middleman is necessary. Intermediaries can not only ensure the safety of funds, but also increase the time efficiency of transactions. Several of my deals have been delayed by the developers for a long time.

Thank you for your recommendation.

Seniority doesn't mean much in life anymore when many people have zero morale let alone on the internet. Please use a middle man and stop getting scammed..

Sorry for your loss mate. I wouldnt trust many people on here with a 1/10 of that money. Try to use a middleman, and not a random one. Zexi or lavish
I was doing work with him myself, Unfortunately the exchanger im using is being slow on his refund, but there's no real danger with me.

I think the issue surrounding this user is that the tasks that are being undertaken are all on chinese based programs or websites.
For an example my task was to make a bot to bid last second on an auction software, Quoted $2k, Got a $1k deposit, The issue is it's nearly impossible to build a bot which injects into the program as most of it is in Chinese and hard to understand, OCR doesn't work and would require stupid amounts of training to work with the program and then intercepting the network traffic and trying to go that route wouldn't work as again it's all encoded Chinese writing.

Unfortunately it all looks like it's doable at the inception and you need to really poke and prod to figure out it's completely useless without fluent understanding in mandarin, For some users they may have set out with good intentions, Done work, Spent the money then realised it was a task they couldn't finish and that leads them here unable to refund.

Personally i spent a good 1-2 weeks messing around with the program with probably over 50-60 hours spent on the project, Just to refund him as it became unfeasible to continue.

Lukasi is a good HQ member who pays and keeps his word, He should definately use MM with regards to his projects though.
