What strategies or decisions would you alter in your past to attain wealth if given the opportunity to go back in time?
How would you become wealthy if you could go back in time? |

I would short the shit out of enron, I would buy into Microsoft, ASML, Facebook, Amazon, and more at early stages. I would buy certain crypto at the earliest possible point.
Now, if I really wanted to make the most amount of money possible, I guess I would go back in time before a major invention and create that w/ US patents.
When I was 14 I gave myself two choices. Go buy a brand new electric guitar and learn an instrument, or buy 2 full bitcoins. (Bitcoin was around $200-250 then) In all honestly, of course I couldn't see the future so I probably would've ended up blowing those 2BTC on e-books and various shit here. I know guitar now lol. If I could go back, I would probably tell my younger self to buy the bitcoin and put it in a password protected USB wallet and keep it in my sock drawer. If I had that BTC at it's highest peak, I could've turned $400 into well over $120k.
Then I'd tell my younger self to geek out and buy a great PC setup and that guitar, and put the rest into a high-yield savings. Then I would explain job opportunities I was later given in the future and tell myself to stick with them to learn more, and later use that BTC earnings to create my own start-up repair business. I'd be doing very solid now, if only I could give my younger self some advice lol. (Jan 27, 2024 10:26 AM)M1L3NK0 Wrote: When I was 14 I gave myself two choices. This is a huge piece of the whole "I wish I bought BTC at $x" thought - many people who DID buy at $x ended up selling at $y instead of $z. It's one thing to know to buy it early, and another to keep holding it - especially on the crash down from 20k.
