Virus total doesn't fail on a first scan. I know why you might be upset that it would cause it to fail in the future. But if it's failing on there for the first time it means it's never fud. Op can't break on the first scan because they can't fail if they've never been scanned before. So if they show up as a fail on virus total. It's because your stuff is not fud?
