I was scrolling through my old threads and found a thread I posted all the way back from 2015 talking about the "purge" that happened the day before.
If I remember correctly; there was a period of a couple of hours, or maybe even an entire day, where all new threads, posts and reps made/given during that period would be deleted. According to this and this post it was due to a server switch, so basically everything before the switch was backed up, and everything new during the switch would be wiped when it'd be done.
Honestly, even after all these years, I still occasionally think of it when browsing HF after periodic breaks from the forum. It was one of the funnest nights I have ever had here.
Everyone just fucking around, some posting midget porn (and getting banned after the purge, rip), just having a good time and just trying to come up with an even more racist or unhinged shitpost than the previous member lol. Good times. Really wouldn't want it again, it'd just get repetitive after a while and 4chan exists for this exact reason, but it was a really fun experience.

Now, the reason for posting this thread is mostly to hear what other members who were there remember of it (and if maybe anybody has any screenshots, big if ofcourse considering it was 9 years ago, would be fun to see all the chaos again). I can see some active members here in The Lounge section who have registered prior to the purge, and I know there are tons of oldheads on multis haha.

That was about 9 months after I joined, I was not the greatest user ever back then I’ll admit. I’m surprised I didn’t get banned, back then the forums were more hostile IMO, and if I remember correctly they were under attack by LE a lot. Nowadays they are much better.

Come next January I’ll get my 10 year badge!! Woot!

I heared alot about this period where the forum was more active too than now, but anyway i think omni is keep doing good upgrades and plays

Genuinely can't recall if I was actively on here during that time or not, but yeah HF certainly has a lot of history, interesting things that went down, etc, that probably more than not nowadays either don't remember or just don't know. Not too many old fucks super active these days it seems.
