and the story about it is pretty messed up, showed up to my ex house at 4 AM (we were still together) she had another guy in there and had him sneak out the front door while I went up a window but she let me in and I left. Called cops on me next morning, got arrested but was always confused why she did this but then lawyer revealed she didn't want to get caught cheating so she got me arrested. hope she dies. but yeah.

Wasn't the best boyfriend, but we had an argument earlier and came back after being out with some friends to make things up and she did that to me.

believe it or not, some women are just outright evil. what's something not to tell? never been abusive or anything towards her.. was I the best boyfriend? no cause I had terrible party habits. but the fact she went out to have another guy there and god knows how long it was going on for.

I myself couldn't believe it.. I had a panic attack the second the lawyer told me.

just curious, before you get overly confident w/ this.

Is the fire escape to the window considered public property, or a natural way to access her apartment? For example, is it an emergency fire escape you shouldn't be on, or is it a normal stairwell for regular access as well as a fire evacuation route?

Were you invited over? Were you told to use the fire escape in writing?
Did she turn down your invitation to meet up before you went over there?
Did she invite you over at all, or did you just climb up the fire escape uninvited, unannounced, etc?

Not going to lie, it seems like you basically decided to climb a non-public fire escape, peep into her window & knock on the window to get her attention... and you are surprised that you are in trouble?

other questions:
- were you still dating technically when this happened? Or were you guys 'separated' or 'on break' or anything?
- have you ever used the fire escape to get to her apartment in the past?

The main things to understand:
- a judge & a jury do not need to take into account whether she was cheating or not
- the exact reason that she had for calling the police doesn't really matter much either here
- you most likely trespassed, uninvited, etc
- "hiding her cheating" doesn't make your crime any less criminal
