Hey HF,

Used to play a lot of Yugioh and Hearthstone, but found both of them boring in the end.

Recently started playing Magic: The Gathering and I cannot understand why I did not try this game before.

I used to play a ton of MTG years ago with a group of friends. We had a night dedicated to it every week. I ran a zombie deck and an eldrazi deck back in the day.

I miss it for sure.

Used to play a lot. Specially during Covid-19 lockdown days. It is a hell of a game and very addictive. I remember I was at a decent rank at one point. It is one of those games that will continue to come back to. But right now I do not have time or mood to delve into it.

Takes ages to find a deck you like to play, while also being a good deck to beat others. Constantly have to tweak mine, as I am so new to the game.

I liked playing either aggro red or white/black mana with lifeplay. It took me some time to get comfortable with these decks.

Blue decks I disliked the most.

I still kinda play often with my friends IRL but I couldn't get into the game tbh. There's nothing like opening a fresh pack of cards 😎

I don't think any of my decks are standard at the moment unfortunately. Time is a bitch. You can get much more creative with historic though so it's worth the effort.

Out of all of the card games I played growing up, MTG was always the one I came back to. I feel like a big part of that is probably given the more mature nature of the game in terms rules, understanding cards, card design, and some other things. So as you get older, you can understand and appreciate all of it more.

I got into MTG late like I don't understand why I avoided the card game for years. It's pretty interesting playing Commander I did try standard on the app but local shops have events so whenever I have time I drop by and get destroyed go home and try to figure out what I need to build better deck lol.

What is commander style? Because this is what they have most events of near me.
