Urban exploring (abandoned places)

I have done it only a couple times. Was pretty fun but risky. A lot of places have cameras or security. Now they have knocked most of them down. I have been to abandon state mental hospitals and they are pretty damn creepy to say the least.
I don't do any urban exploring myself but it does happen to pop up on my social feeds quite often and I find it very entertaining.

I guess I've done this a few times but nothing too abandoned. I am however looking into astrophotography so I might be heading to cool places soon.

Most of the initial urbex was abandoned industrial buildings that were previous warehouses, shipping terminals, and grain silos. We eventually began to explore abandoned infrastructure in the forests such as dams and railways.

I never really ventured into exploring office buildings such as tall abandoned structures. I had a very intense experience once in an abandoned office tower on the 11th floor running into some scrappers. Scrappers are very protective of their turf and always have heavy machinery.

One of my favorite Urbex sources is UER... there is some absolutely AMAZING urbex storytelling on there.

I think anything abandoned in forests will always be the best. There is an abandoned mansion two-hour drive away in a big forest. It has a pool too, I think that will be cool. Yeah, I heard about scrappers and squatters. I'll have to be wary of that.

Yes of course, I understand the risks involved.

Mental hospitals or asylums would definitely be creepy, sounds like a fun experience.

Sounds fun! Good look with that, maybe update us with a thread when you do it?
I have been through a couple abandoned houses and some military structures.

I’ve been through quite a few asbestos ridden offices, mental hospitals and bunkers, as a kid anyway. I would love to get back into it, but wouldn’t even know where to find such mystery’s.
I would love to. I think the abandoned malls would be something great to check-out!

This is actually something I thoroughly enjoy.

I'm sure some here have heard of Geocaching, it's an app you download that sends you on scavenger hunts for a certain item basically. They're often in remote places, abandoned buildings, and hard to access areas.
bugga told me I'm a cutie

Urban exploring sounds like an exciting adventure, especially with a WWII bunker on your list! It's great that you're planning to visit less-known spots. It gives the whole experience a mysterious edge. I haven't done much myself, but I’ve heard stories from others who love exploring old hospitals, factories, and bunkers. If you’re going, make sure to stay safe, gear up properly, and maybe bring a camera to capture those eerie, abandoned vibes!

Would be rare but by far the best

I was thinking of doing that too.

I was thinking of recording it, but IMO, it ruins it. I'm not the type to record or even take pictures. I like to live in the moment, not have to record and take pictures of things. I do think it's good for being able to look back on memories, but I personally don't like doing that and yes, we will stay safe.
