White smoke has appeared at the Sistine Chapel.
This means a new Pope has been chosen since the death of Pope Francis at 88 years old, who he is will be revealed sometime soon and I will update the thread when I find that information out.
Update:
The new Pope is Robert Prevost an American, age 69 from Chicago Illinois.
He is the first American Pope.
He will be known as Leo XIV.

Apparently some people are already throwing tantrums about this choice because they Googled him and found him expressing sympathy to the black community regarding George Floyd's murder.

Some of those people throwing tantrums are on this forum.
They claim to be Christians but they don't know the Bible, they certainly do not follow the Bible, instead they politicize it and bring their MAGA trash views into it as if it is part of the religion when their views directly go against biblical teachings.

Deuteronomy 10:14-1
He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.
You mean this?

That is 10:18-19
But it is a good example of something they are against.
Exodus 22:21
Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.
--------------
Leviticus 19:33
When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
--------------
The vast majority of these illegal immigrants are people who just want a better life, who just want to help their children, many of them pay taxes but do not receive, yes there some criminals but it is small compared to violent crimes committed by actual Americans.
What Christianity stands for, what the Bible teaches is exactly the opposite of the harmful, hateful and disgusting views that a lot of these people (many of them MAGA) stand for. Many of these people never read the Bible in the slightest, They are Christians in name only, they push their political bullshit as if it is some kind of Christian view.
I am far from a perfect Christian, nor do I know everything in the Bible, I have my own personal views on some things, I sin, but I don't go around spewing shit that is against the Bible while claiming it to be from the Bible at least intentionally, there could be times I made mistakes or accidently miss-spoke but I am unaware of it.

There's also passages in the Bible about how verbally abusing someone and calling them names is "as bad" as being homosexual it's in the same verse. And there's another one where charging interest on a loan is "as bad" as homosexuality, so why don't Christians protest banks?

I am unaware of these verses where it refers to both interest and verbally abusing someone in the same verse as homosexuality, can you provide these verses?.
These are issues mentioned in the Bible separately that I do know.
I wish him well. I wonder what kinds of things he will do to better help humanity.

I think it's 1 Corinthians 6 about how you don't get into heaven doing any of those things.

Lmao everything is so politicized. I have mainly republican views but human life is human life when it comes to religion and whether the person was right or wrong it's still a senseless tragic death. People really need to calm the fuck down with all this political shit!
