If you were to buy a legacy console, what would it be?

I’ve been thinking hard on all of the consoles I’ve played and it aroused a question I think would be good for the community…

What legacy console would you buy (right now)?
Prob those limited edition pokemon gameboys. They are sexy.

If I were buying one legacy console, it’d be the SNES. Great games that still feel right today (like Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country), it’s not finicky, and the blowing on the cartridges brings back memories <3

I spent years of my childhood playing those games ☺️

N64 is all I would ever want to play till my last day.

It was perfect.

007 all the way!!!
That's actually a hard one. N64 always has a place in my heart for James Bond, Pokemon, Donkey Kong, and Mario. However, the original Xbox with Halo 2 is where I truly got into gaming. Between the hours spent modding, bridging, booting - it's second to none. I guess I'd have to say the OG Xbox for me.

Cant forget the good old Counter Strike days as well. Not source but the OG.
Steam actually had a sale on them recently.

I actually didn't get into Counter Strike. I hear all the talk about it, but I was too involved with Halo at the time.

I got a modded SNES mini, it's kinda better than the original :) The controllers are 1 to 1 seriously.

Nintendo 64 on my side !
SEGA! Sega all the way. My first console was Sega and I loved it. Wish I had kept it.
I'd pick up a Nintendo 64. Tons of great games and tons of great memories I have of playing those games.

N64 was definitely a goated system.

Was the system I had a ton of my gaming "firsts" with and the earliest system I actually have a lot of memories from playing on.
