I just bought a Ledger Nano Plus a few days ago, and it’s been great. I’m looking for a backup one to store in my bank safe and was wondering which ones you all use.
Which cyptro wallet do you guys use |

Go Cold Storage and just print out your seed. Use Electrum to build it. Should be Ledger compatible.
You can even just use HF's client side JS page... https://hackforums.net/tools.php?action=bip39 Also, would not store in a Bank Safe. Consider a USB stick or piece of paper hidden somewhere very private. Bury it in can in the backyard maybe? You can also get metal engraving for very very long-term storage and security. https://www.amazon.com/Codesteel-Titaniu...hdGY&psc=1 Really the options are limitless. Just don't store on CEX. Not your keys... (Aug 15, 2025 12:34 PM)Omniscient Wrote: Go Cold Storage and just print out your seed. Use Electrum to build it. Should be Ledger compatible. Afrirm Thanks for the tips boss man I have a few places in mind to burry it I will look into the the metal press idea (Aug 15, 2025 12:51 PM)informalmarc Wrote: Afrirm You can also get a time capsule from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Corrosion-Wa...r=8-6&th=1 But realistically a can or even a glass jar should be fine. Just be mindful if you bury it if you have a lot of rain you'll want to ensure it's waterproof. Seal the items imho in multiple plastic bags.

I wouldn’t advise using an always online printer to print out any seeds though, some printers also log everything and save copies to send back to the manufacturer for metadata. I wouldn’t bury anything either. Weather and conditions such as erosion, moisture, mould or even something like a septic issue would permanently ruin the backup. I don’t trust USBs as well because they can easily be broken or made with cheap hardware.

You can absolutely weather proof your buried treasure. And I advise both the paper and digital backup. btw, the paper doesn't have to "printed", you can literally write down 12 words with a pen or marker (better option). Also, I personally have a 25 year old offline black and white laser printer. It has no internet capabilities at all. It doesn't even print the yellow marks (MIC's). AI Quote: Those are called printer tracking dots or machine identification codes (MICs). What they areTiny yellow dots printed in a barely visible pattern on most color laser printers and copiers. They repeat across each page, often in a grid-like pattern. Invisible to the naked eye under normal light, but detectable under blue light or magnification. PurposeDeveloped in cooperation between printer manufacturers and governments (especially the U.S. Secret Service) to help trace: Which printer produced a document. When it was printed (date & time encoded). WhyOriginally aimed at combating counterfeiting of currency and official documents. Law enforcement can use the dots to match documents to specific printers. Privacy concerns* Civil liberties groups (like the EFF) have criticized the system because it effectively places a hidden tracking watermark on every printed page without user consent. ✅ In short: those faint yellow marks are a forensic tracking code, built into many color printers, so that printed documents can be traced back to the exact machine (and often the time of printing). Your printer is an absolute champ for surviving that long. lol
